Jamie Danger Barry, #3628 my dad taught me frisbee golf in 8th grade throwing through hula hoops attached shoulder high on oak saplings. So that was 1972, and we threw casually but not very often until 1979, when I moved to Yellowstone National Park Wyoming and met other golfers. We threw Whamos, and the little 110 mold was my favorite, but discs crack, you fix em with glue or melted plastic off a bit pen with a big lighter. 1980 we got competitive, organized a league at Fishing Bridge with a championship, and by 1983, there were 3 other clubs and the Yellowstone Frisbee Golf Championships. We bought mail order Aviars and Aeros from Conrad Damon at La Mirada, he was cool so the best of us played the National Chapionship out there and Sam Ferrans won, maybe 1985.
Right now I throw the Bosses and some Prodigy, but can go all day with a Wizard. My style is RHBH with a Scooby putt.
Smithville is my favorite course complex, and I really don't care for Fox Hill in KC or White Birch in STL.
