ace race- you pay you play, the only rule is one shot, not one disc or any aprticular disc, use a driver for 400 ft, use a putter for 200 ft, it's just a little cooler if you use the sponsor disc all the way thru.
like a radio, but without the car, last i heard a car doesn't exactly fit in a golf bag. but that would be a funny sight, like whatcha got in your bag? 3 drivers, a midrange, a putter, a car so i can listen to the radio, a mini, a pencil, a sharpie, a golf towel, some gatorade, sunflower seeds, and possibly a bag tag.
awesome, i suggest $5 per round because i am sure there'll be one-round players and everybody loves fair pricing. supercool these are sunday club events, i prefer golfing to watching football anyway. someone should invent a device that allows a golfer to listen to a football game and golf at the same time, how cool would that be!
well run tournament, lots of golf. TD notes: seems a trend is developing in CTP where an additional charge is offered for cash CTP in tournaments out there. players paid $12 to participate in the 9 CTP <3 per course>, with each one worth $40, kinda fun for all skill levels and not needing to ace to cash to get a payback, of course the ace funds were in effect and NOT HIT. these CTPs have been offered in the last 4-5 tourneys i've played out there and are popular with the field. i also heard that trophy is optional in lieu of cash payout if you are a trophy hunter. let's golf!
our club is blessed to be able to make blue valley bumps AND purchase baskets if needed, i am impressed by the way our directors handle the cash, take care of our membership, and improve our courses. although the gateway titans are the best chains on the market, they have shown restraint in purchasing them because of the relative price, and although the discatchers from innova give our game the most exposure, they have shown sensitivity to the neighborhood concerns. i am glad that we are spending some of our revenues on tournaments and innovations. i also dig the new laminate membership cards with the purple stripe.
NEWSFLASH: if you call others sandbaggers, while playing in an age-protected division, zip it.
whatevva! back in my day BEFORE there was sand, you'd get called magma-bagger, a term i hope none of you youngsters have to bear. IF any of you live to be as old as Rick Rothstein, you're beating the odds, let alone beating any other golfer that is fortunate to be your age. remember this wide open is just a rehearsal for next year, i cordially invite the entire beer league out to heckle my card after every shot if they so desire, what were those bleachers delivered for the "silent majority"? good shots get a golf clap and pussies get called for being just that. man up and go for it, just watch out for errant shots that seem to find their way into big mouths!
