There will be a USDGC spot handed out to the winner of a one round event held prior to the Open.

I will let Chappy fill in the details as he will be running the event, but the fees to play a round will contribute to the winners registration and if you have a bad round , you can buy in again and try for a better score.

The longer you wait the less daylight there will be.  June 21st was the Solstice/longest day of the year, it is all downhill from there.

I will be out at Rosey getting the rest of the mulch out, weedeating some placements, and putting the finishing touches on for the Wide Open.

Depending on how late Solstice runs I will try to be out before 11:00.

If you could put in an hour that would be great.  Look for us by the mulch piles by #8 basket.

See you there.

To bad they just pulled the story from the wire and didn't mention the vibrant frisbee/disc scene here in KC.

Actually, I just put him in Int. as he couldn't get off his cell phone long enough to do anything other than throw money on my desk, luckily Bruce McQueen was with him and told me who his partner was.

Solstice Doubles is filling up fast!

Only 19 spots left.

The weather forecast says upper 80's and sun.

There will be no day-of registration.

We are working hard to make this a fun event for everyone (including us) and don't want to deal with the hassle of signing people up during the event.  If we don't quite fill before Saturday, so much the merrier, The course will be less crowded.

Those that register in advance will play, eat, drink, and be merry... Those that don't, will have to wait till next year.

If you know somebody that wants to play and hasn't registered, tell them to get in gear.

Registration is easy:

  - Online at www.solsticedoubles.com
  - In person at Disc Golf World 509 E 18th m-f 9-4:430 (816)471-3472
  - Wednesday at Rosedale Park 5-6pm or after league.

I was thinking this of all the courses in town.   The Solstice thing is going to make hard work of Swope tho......

Rosedale has had at least 8-9 pins moved every week since before league began, and several weeks I have moved 14+ baskets.  Last week was the first time I haven't moved any baskets since I was Jack (out of town) for the past 5 days.

Don't worry... the baskets will be put back at Swope after the Solstice Doubles is done.  Don't be hatin' because you can't come out and play Jack :P
