Tournaments / Re: 3rd Annual Solstice Doubles
« on: May 31, 2007, 01:16:14 PM »
I am saying this event adheres to the "Most Fun Wins" concept. Full-time, hard-nosed, touring players like yourself may find the level of competition not quite at A-tier standards (what with the music and all).

That said, "The Last Angry Putter" is encouraged to find a partner and get in on the fun. Maybe you could pick up one of the disenfranchised Masters aged players.

Rosedale / Workday Sunday 6-03
« on: May 30, 2007, 11:25:04 AM »
Come out and help get Rosey tuned up for the Wide Open.

We will be spreading the remaining 2 piles of mulch around the course and dressing the tee areas with  rock dust.

Bring a shovel and rake if you have them.

If you can only help for an hour it would be much appreciated.

Cold drinks and good karma for all who help.

I will be there from 10:30 till ~4:00pm.

See you there!

Quote
Why no master's division?

  • This encourages mixed age teams
  • This event is about fun more than competition.
  • The course will be set short (I think you can reach the pins Tom).
  • The winner will be the best putters, masters have had more time to practice putting ;)
  • A majority of the masters aged players in KC are Open players.
  • I don't think someone in their 40's needs be "protected".
  • Did I mention this is a fun event? If it is all about the win, this probably isn't the right event.

Andy, your link is broken or your site is down.  You might give Flickr a shot, it is a great way to get images online.

The all-day rain paused and let us play 15 holes before returning at the end.
Mud and East winds managed to keep any of the 9 players from taking advantage of the birdie-laden front 9.
