Found and Lost / LOST - White/Red Soccer Ball Logo
« on: October 28, 2010, 06:06:59 PM »
Hole #4 at Cliff Drive - lost my white Star Wraith with a LSDiscs red soccerball dye.    It took off high and left and seemed to disappear.  I almost wonder if aliens snagged it.   We looked for 20 minutes.  I'd love to have it back!

It has my name, number and PDGA number on it.

Found and Lost / LOST Beast
« on: October 04, 2010, 08:41:01 AM »
Yellow Pro-Plastic Beast, Rosedale Park #3.    Drive was heading along the right of the fairway when it deflected off of a tree.   It could be down under.  Hard to say.  I gave up on it after 20 minutes.

Found and Lost / Thanks!

Thank you to whomever found my orange champion road runner and turned it in to Disc Golf World.   I very much appreciate it.   I'll buy you a beer if you like!

Found and Lost / LOST - Dx Leopard - Rosedale #10 UP
« on: June 01, 2010, 12:03:12 PM »
Hello all,

I lost a white DX Leopard with the Stirfry Disc Golf stamp on it.  It went in deep some where left of the pine tree position.   We looked for a good 30 minutes, but nothing was found.  If you see it, let me know!

Found and Lost / FOUND - DX Roc
« on: June 01, 2010, 11:59:16 AM »
I found a DX Roc at Rosedale Park.  It was either a misfire hyzer from hole #3 up top, or big misfire hyzer on #6 down under.   There is no name or phone number on the disc, but I'd gladly return it.  I'm not trying to start a guessing game here; hopefully people won't start posting random colors in hopes of a free Roc.  If you know the color of your DX Roc and you lost it in this area of the park, let me know.  I'll gladly return it.

General Banter / Travel Stool
« on: May 30, 2010, 10:40:44 AM »
I'm not sure if any one needs a new camping stool for disc golfing, but they got a really slick one down at Eddie Bauer on the plaza.   It isn't the tripod design; it has a wider sitting area.  It also has a cooler built into the chair.  Pretty slick!  Anyway, just thought I'd pass on the news in the event that any one was in the market for one.

Legacy Park - Lee's Summit / Legacy

is a really fun course!  Glad I made it out there.

Found and Lost / Lost at Rosedale #1
« on: January 05, 2010, 03:36:26 PM »
Orange Pro Wraith with a piece of blue ribbon taped Parker-style on the top.   It banked to the right by the tree line but to my knowledge, it fell short of the trees.   It has my name (Ryan), phone number, and PDGA number on it.

I miss it already.

Tournaments / Frost Bite Open

When:  The first snow of the season! (see below)
          Starting at 6:30 PM.
Where: Rosedale - Down Under
What: Singles glow in the fresh snow.

$10 - includes $2 ace fund.
First 10 people get a commemorative long-sleeve T-shirt.

The first snow fall of at least 3+ inches that sticks to the ground.  I come from snow country and first snow typically meant 6-10 inches.  I'll settle for 3 as our working definition.  Look for an updated post on the day of the big snow to announce any change in details.

General Banter / Chaining 'em together
« on: October 16, 2009, 10:43:53 AM »
I just wanted to give a quick shout out to Joe Engleman.  A bunch of played glow at Rosedale last night with unlit baskets.  Joe chained together 9 deuces in a row!!!  He ended up finishing -11.  I can't say I've ever seen 9 birdies in a row.

Great round!

General Banter / Disc Golfers VS. Environmentalists!

A very interesting article about a growing feud in Florida over a popular disc golf course:

Club Archives / Weather (or not)
« on: July 13, 2009, 09:04:56 AM »
I am not sure if it will go through, but I've started contacting the Weather Channel about covering Worlds from a weather standpoint.  I am hoping that they'll at the very least add it to their list of sporting events on the website.  If they do, folks can simply click on the event and check out the weather effecting our immediate area (and they can apply their fancy Golf Comfort Index).

Not such a big deal for us locals, but if you're coming in from out of town, I imagine this would be pretty helpful.

Found and Lost / And two more lost at Cliff Drive
« on: July 10, 2009, 08:51:07 AM »
This is really not my month.  A year goes by without losing a disc, and then this month comes and bites me in the a$@.

Ryan lost...
BUZZ - Neon Green, FLX.  Hole #1.  Lost in the bramble and collection of cut branches and limbs to the right of the pin.

Joe Engleman lost...
Destroyer - White, Pro.  Hole #10.   It went deep in the woods on the right of the fairway.

Not keeping much hope for these, but if you are bored and or happen upon them, let me know!

Found and Lost / LOST Orange Pro Wraith
« on: July 08, 2009, 06:50:39 PM »
Shot a wonderful drive directly into a tree branch on #11.  The disc shot straight down into the O.B.  Three of us looked for 15 minutes and then a twosome behind us helped for another 4.   I really love this disc.

Found and Lost / Triple Leopard Loss
« on: June 17, 2009, 09:24:31 AM »
In 2 weeks, I lost all three of my leopards.

1.  White Pro line Leo - Cliff Drive, hole 6, left side of the elbow.
2.  Blue Champion Leo - Swope Park, hole 10, mysterious lagoon
3.  Yellow DX Leo w/ StirFry logo - Rosedale UP, no idea what hole, haphazzardly left in fairway.

I loved them like children.  Please send them home.
