Water Works / Re: Work on Pads to be done
« on: February 28, 2012, 08:31:15 AM »

Also while I was out picking up some trash, I found a few discs underneath the trashcans out there....anyone know why this is happening?

This is often a way to return a disc to someone.   I have had people leave discs for me under trash cans so that I can return to the course and get the disc back.    I have also offered this as a way to return a disc.

Additionally, it is nearly March.   As the legend goes, if you leave a disc under a trash can at Water Works in March, there is a chance that a Leprechaun will come by and bestow upon it magical Ace-making properties.     He may also pee on it.  Not quite sure why a Leprechaun would be messing with a garbage can.   I'm not really that familiar with the legend, obviously.

I was able to secure 12 bottles of the ol' Slam.    Pretty good this year, but certainly going to age some.

Now if you want a real beer, you've got to try the 2012 OBC Lugus.   I just had some on tap.   It is amazing!

Did the 2011 winners ever receive pay?  I had heard otherwise.

Was it a Pac-man stamped Wraith with my name and number on the bottom that I happened to lose there?

If no entity is allowed to advertise then this thread needs a name change and wording of location. Talking about what tournaments DD is planning and how it affects the club is OK but coming on here touting a new store is asvertising.
I don't see DGW advertising their year end clearances in here or other gimmicks.
I'm kinda surprised nobody has edited this.

Really?  That is what you think is going on in this thread?   (shudder)

- it will have a light attached to it (a lot of good that did me)
- it has all of my contact information on it as well

Thanks!

I think Peter made a good point in the newsletter about garbage.  I've been to Rochester many times; they aren't ultra-progressive or something.  The lack of littering here is certainly a result of careful signage and well place garbage receptacles at the entrance/exit of the parks.

I know it seems like a leap, but I really think we need to try this on the down under course.   It is so incredibly difficult to get garbage out of there.

I guess it wont work if you are shooting high 70's. :D
You know my game too well.

This just what I needed.    I'll never shoot over 42 again!

Exactly, I'm content playing disc golf for funny money, then hopping into my luxury sled and driving home to my stately manor where I swim in a pool of gold coins like Scrooge McDuck. ;D

HAHAHAhahaha...   I want to hang out at YOUR place!   I always wondered how he (Scrooge McDuck) was able to swim through those piles of gold coins.   I would think there would be a lot of resistance on the surface and bone crushing weight underneath.

I'd like to extend my thanks to John Theiss, Jon Robertson and Tim Becks for all of their hard work tonight.   Theiss - that chainsaw was awesome!  We were able to clear the most of the tree trunk from #3 and much of the debris.  IT WAS HEAVY.    We tried to set it up in a way that might help some of the erosion problems.   Likewise, we quickly disposed of the tree that fell on #14.

I think we took 2 bags of bottles up, and we also gave a threesome a garbage bag.  They surprised us and took up a full bag of garbage from #17 and #18!

Spread the love and gain some karma; take out some garbage.  Guaranteed to knock 3 strokes off your game.
