Swope / League in October

Next week will be my final week of running League at Swope Park.  If someone would like to take over for the month, I would be more than happy to let them.  You can run league however you want (normal divisions, handicapped, doubles, wolf, whatever).  Jack posted something in the Cliff forum, and I'm going to copy what he said:

I know that we are fast approaching the end of league season, and my job is heating up.  So I will need help on the following days to have people run league, or it aint happening.

I have new hire training on these days, and typically can not get out to the course until 8.  Please remember that league should be started no later than 5:30, and last night, we played our last few holes in the dark.  Though it was cloudy and overcast at any rate, still, we were done before 8 and it was dark.

Swope / September 26th - Putting in new baskets - Need help!

Part of the PIAC grant for Swope park was for 18 new baskets.  We're going to put these in this Saturday, September 26th.  We'll have to assemble the baskets, drill holes in the baskets for the sleeves, then go out and replace the baskets.  Start around 8:30.  Meet at the shop just to the South of the disc golf course.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Swope / Swope September points race

The next 4 weeks of Swope league will be a handicapped points race.  Every person who's played at least 3 rounds at Swope has a handicap; it's attached to the early posting of the Swope 2009 season stats.  This handicap will be added  to (or subtracted from) your weekly score, and the field will be ranked each based on this adjusted score.  Each week, you'll receive points for each person you beat or tie.  The last week of the month will have double points.  At the end of the month, whoever has the most points wins, and we'll pay out all of the money to the top 40%.

I have had some serious stuff come up at work, and would appreciate it if someone could take care of the initial part of league for me tonight.  I may be out before 6, and I may not.  I don't really have time to call 3-5 people, so if someone could just step up and do it, I would really appreciate it.  I'll be out later to take care of payouts.
