Loomis you nailed it. We don't have that course. One when you pull into the parking lot to play a casual round, you get butterflies in anticipation of the battle you're about to partake in. There isn't a course like that here. De La Veaga was that course for me back in Cali. It took me moving to within 10 minutes of the course (from a previous 70-90 minute drive) just to get to the point where I could occasionally break par. When you mentioned De La, I also thought Down Under, but exactly as you said, it's too tiny (and I mean short when I say tiny) to be "that" course. The other thing about De La is it is 27 holes of the madness, not just 18. The terrain here is less extreme but the density of foliage can make up for that. I don't know, find 50 acres of untouched land. Then meticulously design and carve out a course of 27 nerve wracking disc golf challenges, That could be the icing on the KC disc golf courses cake.
Anyway, I've said it before and it's been reiterated here by others; Almost every course here in KC area would be a jewel in most other cities. I don't know what other cities/clubs are doing, but my guess is a lot of them look at KC and think... if only.
