I was just wondering if that hole will always be played with the OB being anything on or short of the walking path...or if that is just a Glow League thing. As one who has to have a REALLY good throw just to make it across the pond....having to get across the path is just something that may never happen.
Not having a lot of distance in my game is already a challenge, being penalized with an OB for having a weenie arm is doubly so.
You're absolutely right, no reasonable "safe" play except to huck it 375+ (or whatever it is... it's long) is a terrible way to play that hole. It wasn't played like that in summer league. The only way it should be played is with the path itself OB. Oh wait, I'm thinking of 14. Hmm, though 15 is still a decent huck to clear the path. Not quite as long as 14 but still fairly long. If it's over say 250 then it's too long to be required to clear imo.
