What: 2011 Ice Bowl @ Jimbo's Farm to raise money for our local Meals on Wheels. Meals on wheels delivers meals to people who are unable to leave their home and provide for themselves. It is an awesome non-profit organization that asks only how they can help others.

When: Saturday January 29th 11am+- tee off

Where: Jimbo's Farm 20+ hole private course!

Auburn road is closed at 93rd street, so the best way to come in is either wanamaker or Indian hills to 133rd, 141st, or 149th the to auburn road. Jims Farm is located on the southwest corner of 149th and Auburn... Here is the address....

Format: 20+ hole singles that will be flighted depending on turnout. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each flight. Entry fee will be $25.

All entrants will recieve an Ice bowl disc (until they run out, then similar disc of choice), chili feed, beer, and 20+ holes of disc golf. Included with each entry will be 5 mulligans. Additional mulligans (unlimited) can be purchased for $1 each. Help us help Meals on Wheels help others, and we'll help you have a good time! See you there!

General Banter / Lake Perry Course Pics Update

I recently went to check the progress at Lake Perry and took some pics.  The pads are poured, and they have done a LOT of clearing on their own out there.  Put it this way... we were able to throw 2/3 of the holes which was unthinkable this summer.  They have the mach 3 powder coated baskets with flags in and ready to be set when things get complete!  We will be scheduling several more work days out there over the fall/winter and hope to have the course ready for a spring tournament.  If anyone is interested in helping with these I will be posting more info on this thread about them, but you may also contact me.  We be opening the course the weekend of the tournament (whenever it is ready).  No baskets will be set until everything is complete and ready to go.   I am waiting on a map from the ranger out there so I can post it and people can navigate their way around the course to check it out.  Here are the pics I took while out there.....

Tournaments / 2009 LSDISCS MIGHTY SHUNGA OPEN SEPT 26-27 B-TIER TOPEKA KS

Just to add to what is already on the flyer, we will have a recreational division and a casual division which whill be the same price with the only difference being that the casual division won't have to pay the $10 pdga fee. PDGA members won't be allowed in this division. The casual division also won't be posted on the pdga results page after the tourney. Everything else, will be the same.

The Saturday night party should be a blast with a live jam band lined up, food and drinks! I am thinking the party is going to cost $5+- a head which will include a gold rimmed custom pint glass, dinner, drinks, and band... definately worth the money just with dinner and the band! You won't be dissapointed! The party will be within walking distance to the lake shawnee campgrounds which is a plus. We are looking to set up mini golf for the party as well with prizes being given to the top finishers. The sign-up, 1st/2nd round, and party will all be in one location at lake shawnee.

All ams will recieve a players pack that will include...
