Lakeside Hills / 04-13-15 LAKESIDE HILLS MINI
« on: April 11, 2015, 05:59:11 pm »
This coming Monday the Olathe MINI will be at Birdland (Lakeside Hills). Captain Joe will be using this round to determine some of the super, freakin awesome, two time defending champion Team members.

Please be signed up by 5:20 so we can all get on tee as close to 5:30 as possible. Birdland can take a while to play so get there early.... ACE beer should be on hand from last weeks ACER, Mark Lienemann.

The course will be set for Sundays Midwest Doubles Championships, so come on out to Ooooooolathe for some fun DG action.  8) East siders are welcome too. It will be a good experience for them to practice getting beat down by various West siders.  ;D

KCFDC Summer league in Olathe got underway thus night. There were 9 players out, so we all played one division and used the Masters payout.

Mark Lienemann hit an ACE on hole 5, short pin. The PC fund was at $157 when he hit it.

OPEN (9)

Mark Lienemann    49 for $9
Tom Butler            51 for $6
Cade Garrelts        55 for $5
Leevarn Sarvis       57 for $4
Greg Seher           59 for $3
Charles Wallace     61
Brian Cornielius     62
Dan Quinn            63
Dean Uhlman        72

This coming Monday, 4-13-15 we will have the mini at Lakeside Hills. The round will be a qualifier for the West vs east Team event. Please be signed up by 5:20 for a 5:30 tee time. It's still early in the season and Birdland can sometimes take a while to play, so we want to tee as close to 5:30 as possible.

The following weeks 04-20-15 and 04-27-15 we return to Prairie Center and will tee at 5:30 both nights. Then the months of May, June, and July we will be at Birdland with 6:00 tee times. In the Summer time, when the weather is fine..... 8)

I also heard that today was April 1st and only fools fall for fake news. And of course, republicans...

As we were decorating the xmas tree this year I realized how the old lights we had were very similar to the Dems that voted for Osama....half were'nt very bright, and the other half didn't work.  ;D

The pdga rules is how I've played alternate shot in the green country dubs twice in Tulsa. No player throws twice in a row. Jacks scenario that a team would intentionally miss a putt so the better driver could drive is a possibility, but the strokes would add up if they did it repeatedly. It is simpler to just play it as described...no player ever shots twice in a row.

Kcfdc daylight league in Olathe kicks off on Monday April 6th at P.C.  We will tee at 5:30 for the entire month of April. Tentatively , the night of the 13th we will have league at Birdland for a West side team qualifier. Watch the West side team thread and this one for confirmation.

OK, so now that everyone has talked smack, do we know what Olathe league night will be a qualifier? It would be awesome for the hubs to try to qualify and he is a boss at his job, so I wanna be sure he can compete. Thanks.

As soon as Olathe (Bom Tutler) posts which course they will be playing league on which Mondays, I will be able to set a date.  But I had the same problem last year, trying to get a hold of that guy.  He used to be the fastest poster in the West.  Really slacking lately Tom  :'(

Also, if anybody knows how I can get a hold of Justin Starks, please PM me.
I had posted a few weeks ago the schedule for olathe league....pc in April all month with a 5:30 start.

Dan Zinc, Gus, Cindy and I moved around 7 cubic yards of chips onto the trails at 3 and 4, and built a new trailway on hole 11 today. It  should help keep our shoes a little less muddy this Spring. Monday evening 3-9-15 we play the last GLOW of the 10th Olathe GLOW season at Lakeside.

We draw partners at 6:00.

I will be on hole 4 (birdland) today re-chipping the trails and would appreciate any help that might flock in. I should have all the tools we need. I'll prolly start around 9:15.

Leagues / Re: 2015 Summer Leagues
« on: March 01, 2015, 07:12:23 pm »
the PDGA wandering league impacts league play regardless of what night it was. On Wednesday's, prior to this season, there were several leagues SMP/Blue Springs being the two. The Blue Springs league struggled to draw numbers, in part due to the PDGA league. Thursday night has Waterworks which is one of the most highly attended weekly leagues. There's just nowhere to put a league like the PDGA one without having a sit down overhaul of where we conduct club leagues and at what nights. That all being said: First world disc golf problems. As many regions struggle to have quality courses and leagues remember that we sit here debating the scheduling of our 10-11 leagues across 5 nights.

SMP has always been on Tuesday, not Wednesday.

I notified the City.

All we can do is replace the stolen stuff and perhaps someday catch the fools that steal and destroy.

I'll do it for 20 cents per stroke, deal?

That sounds sorta like a Gorilla shuffle... ;D

This should be fun. The weather will be chilly, but not unbearable. The course grass is short, and the rough isn't too rough.

The lighted chains experiment will be interesting. I saw them last summer at Swope and they looked awesome.

Playin dubs, Birdland can be knocked out in a couple hours. Get a partner and be at Birdland around 5:45-6:00.  8)
