The first KCFDC league of the season in Olathe will be Monday, April 7th at Prairie Center. Please be signed up by 5:20 for a 5:30 tee time during the month of April.

We get to play on the 18 brand spanking new Innova Pro 28's that he City was kind enough to purchase, but too impatient to wait on us to install. Just as they aren't the best at keeping trees as part of a holes difficulty, they also aren't to good at installing baskets at the proper height.  ::) We will get them fixed eventually though.

The City trimmed all the trees at Lakeside after our initial course setup. I told them they pretty much ruined 8, and their response was "most people aren't as skilled as you and your club members".  ::)

I went on to explain to them that now instead of a tricky birdy oppurtunity, and if in or behind the cedar a sometimes tricky 3, it is now an easy birdy, or a boring 3 every time.

For Spring, is this going to be the schedule?

I plan on the 2014 KCFDC daylight league in Olathe to be as follows:
April @ Prairie Center
May, June, July @ Lakeside Hills
August and part of September @ Prairie Center

Lakeside Hills may be occupied with a PDGA tournament that weekend.

What event, Tom?

Not sure what it's called, but I was asked if PC or Lakeside Hills was able to be used for an event Smitty is seting up. With soccer and baseball in full swung in June, I said to use Lakeside Hills. I have no details on it, but perhaps it will be on Saturday, so the Team Challenge can go unaffected.

Yes, I know Doc. It will be a day-GLOW affair.

Gotta give the playas a last chance at the ACE fund, especially since we missed so many weeks due to the extreme climate this year.

Come on out....draw partners at 6:00.

How about no paint this year? The original Kan-U-Wycos didn't use it, and were still fun.

Some of will have to miss the Corporate Challenge this year to attend the Masters. I advised the CC folks over a month ago to not hold the CCDG on this weekend, but they do what they want.  ::)

Tonight, 02-10-14, with the continuing Arctic chill and snow cover, I am canceling GLOW.

Warmer weather is coming...... let's try it again next week.

The problem with salt on concrete is that it causes pitting and damage to the surface of the concrete. The Joco Parks department who own the pads should probably be consulted before applying salt. They may even have and provide us some of the stuff that melts the frozen stuff without damaging the concrete.

Good job shovelers!

I removed it to the City's barn. They are either going to fix it or replace it. They hit it with a loader while doing some tree trimming.
