10 players out in the continuing nice fall weather. Temps in the upper 60's and light NW winds at 9 mph is how it was.

Bryan Guthrie & Tom Butler             49 for $30 (combined team age = 102 years  :P)
Mike Jensen & Greg Seher                51 for $20
Leevarn Sarvis & Andy Lewis            52
Dan Zink & Cade Garrelts                 53
Steve Thimmesch & Dean Uhlman     55

No ACE hit so the fund increases to $224.

The first GLOW round of season 10 was played on this night. The weather was unusually warm (72) and there were light winds.

If memory serves me correctly, in the previous 9 seasons we have only had 7 rain outs or freeze outs total. Personally, I have only missed running GLOW 2 times in 9 years.  8)  I wanted to thank all the players that show up and play, and the few that occasionally move a basket or two or help with the of shuffling the cards.

There were 9 players out this week, with 3 of the 5 teams within 1 stroke of each other at the end in a tight contest.

Dean Uhlman & Andy Lewis                50 for $12.50 each
Steve Thimmesch & Leevarn Sarvis     51 for $5.00 each
Tom Butler & Anthony Puryear            51 for $5.00 each
Dan Zink & Brian Corneilius                55
Cade Garrelts & Cali Cade                   57

The payout table I have used since 2005 does not have the payout for when a single Cali is entered. Since I did not have adequate singles (please pay in with exact change) and the table not having the Cali payouts, I made a mistake in payout and over payed ($0.75 each guy) the two teams that were 1 stroke behind the winners. The winners I owe $1.50 more each and will get it at next GLOW they show up for. The payout table will be revised to include single Cali for use in the future. The correct amounts for 9 players with a single Cali will be $28.00 ($14.00 each) for first and $17.00 ($8.50 each).

No ACE hit so the fund increases to $214.

Same time (6:00 every week at PC). Come out and get yer GLOW on.  ;D

So the Disc Golfers cleared out the woods for Disc Golf fairways and the bikers get to ride down them now? That seems fair.  ::)

Yep. They like us golfers better than the scouts, but the scouts pay $ to use the land. We only beautify it, occupy it, and enjoy it 51 weekends out of the year.

The forecast is calling for around five to seven inches of rain.  What is the plan for Down Under on Saturday if it's a swamp infested mess?

Play and afterwards throw your shoes away and enjoy the provided lunch and kegs.  ;D

This weekend, 11th and 12th, there will be approximately 1500 boy scouts camping in the park north of the course.
Although only a few holes may be impacted (14, 15, 16) I would recommend not playing the back nine.  :(

The City asked me to get this info out.

I was just stating facts. It's your show, and you do a great job! I just remember how the fun factor goes down when slogging thru mud. I doubt anyone will break their leg or anything, like from playing du on ice. Maybe we will get lucky and it won't be muddy at all
::) I just thought everyone shows up, the field gets split, and half go to another course. I see how that could be really difficult.  ;D

With the rain, down under may become a bit muddy. Wyco plays well in the wet...  ::)

Tee at 5:00?

There are multiple people swimming and wading around in the pond getting plastic out. Unfortunately they are not calling and returning the discs.

The water needs to stay in the pond.

That is going the extra mile, Jack! Good job! Speaking of North terrace lake... I am going to be on a party bus with 30 or so
Really large beer drinking folks that were wanting to drive to a local park pond while drinking the couple kegs of 3.2 coors light.... I will try my best to keep them from illegally urinating all night into the lake since you will be having the lake water dumped on ya
. Seriously though, good job!
