General Banter / Re: Lee's Summit Course close-need some support
« on: October 15, 2007, 07:50:26 am »
It sounds like the city wants a course in. Is this meeting next monday open to all enthusiasts? I don't live there, but, I would like to come to the meeting next Monday to show support. I have a co-worker/player that lives there and I will let him know about it too. Should we have a basket or two on hand for demonstration purposes?

It's unfortunate Flick is upset. If the information he gathered is still available, perhaps it could be used/presented at the meeting.

Is there a club championship tourney/picnic this year?

If there is, and the new course baskets are in at SMP, maybe a round or two there would be kewl.

WYCO / 09-07-07 League
« on: September 06, 2007, 12:04:53 pm »
Most excellent weather was experienced by the 24 dgers that attended the Friday night Wyco league this week. Everyone was punctual in signing up (except Waldo) which allowed for play to conclude prior to darkness. Thanks!

One disc was found with the name Andy Lewis on it. Anybody know an Andy Lewis? I'll take it to Olathe league Monday.

No ACE hit, but at least one chain tickling occured. Good times!

Come out next week for more wackiness at Wyco, and will somebody just hit that ACE before we have to get the IRS involved. Kmont should be back, and remember to get there early.

respectfully submitted

If you are in town Friday afternoon then the weekly Friday night mini at Wyco is a must play. The ACE fund is over $1500 and the course is set all short. After that on Saturday I would recommend Swope in the morning, and Waterworks in the afternoon. If you still have game left, you can always hit Olathe, Cliff Drive, or Rosedale too.

Welcome to KC and have a great time! I'm a season ticket holder and will be at Arrowhead too. I'll be the guy wearing red.

General Banter / Mighty Mo and Sunburn Open
« on: August 08, 2007, 10:07:44 am »
I was wondering when the two "C" tier tourneys, (the Mighty Mo and the Sunburn Open) would show up in the PDGA player statistics. With the next ratings update coming up, I was just curious if those tourneys had been submitted.

Hole #2 is usually placed on either the island or the short right placement, however, it is sometimes placed in #18 long placement, and rarely in #4 long placement. Likewise, #4 and #18 are sometimes placed on the island. Our course coordinator moves baskets (much to our delight) quite often. He usually moves at least 5 holes around each week and has been doing so for many years. rocks and I hope you got some good pics of the revised holes on the back 9. thanks for doing such a cool site. As far as the map goes, I think a fellow named Mike Gardner may have an electronic version of it. I haven't looked at it on the marquee in a while and can't even remember if it's up to date.

When the time change occurs in the fall, there are 2 GLOW leagues in town that play random draw dubs... Monday nights at Olathe and Thursday nights at Waterworks, both start at 6:00 p.m. Also, on Saturdays during the fall-winter there are 2 leagues that play random draw dubs..... Olathe at 11:00 and Down-Under at 12:30. Fun times....
