General Banter / Always check your shoes

Just saw this on kctv5.com this morning:

http://www.kctv5.com/story/25923450/kansas-teen-recovering-from-scorpion-sting

HAYSVILLE, Kan. (AP) - A Kansas teenager is recovering at home after spending three days in intensive care recovering from a scorpion sting.

Fifteen-year-old Parker Hartley of Haysville was bitten Friday after he played Frisbee Golf at a park in Haysville, while he was barefoot. He put on his shoes after the game and felt a sharp sting and instant pain.

KAKE-TV reports Hartley's parents at first thought he had been stung by a bee or wasp. But within 24 hours, his foot had swollen and Hartley said the pain was unbearable.  A nurse at Wesley's emergency room recognized the sting and he was hospitalized.

Experts say scorpions hide in dark places, so check your shoes if they've been outside, or in sheds.

Jack, I seem to recall my first encounter with you was quite timely.  You pulled up in your Porsche to the Mighty Shunga-Nunga tournament on Sunday at Shawnee Lake and made it to the tee on hole #18 across the water just as the 2 minute warning was sounded.

Gosh, what year was that?

Um, Mr. Eastwood.  Of course I know where Heritage Park is.....just haven't heard of any disc golf plans for the park.

Anyone know where Olathe is?

What's this about Heritage Park?  This is the first I have heard of it.

Very nice Fred.  Let me know what other tournaments you are playing this year so I can avoid them.  ;-)

Yes, bad choice of words.  Let me re-phrase:

I love how Feldy tries to blame his unlucky shot on the GroundsKeeper.  About 7 or 8 minutes into the McFly video.  Too funny.

Can someone define "well-tailored" for me?  Would a collared SlipKnot shirt qualify?

Thanks for the updated map Dan!  Anyone know who made the baskets for Baldwin?  Just curious.

Played the Baldwin course on Sunday morning.  Had a good time aside from the wind.  The map above shows Hole #1 going across the little pond but that was marked Hole #9 so that is where I started.  Got to Hole #12 and couldn't find the basket and then noticed that someone had yanked it out and it appeared to have been dragged.  Found it lying in the tall grass between Hole #11 and #12.  Aside from that, it's a fun course with some really fun water shots.
