Perhaps that explains my post under the Rosedale Open thread.  I shot par (54) the first round and Pete Cashen shot a blistering -10 the first round.  My first round rating was 947.  My second round was +1 (55) and nobody shot better than -3 and my second round rating was 954.

That second round played way harder with the wind picking up and the temperature dropping.

I wondered the same.  I shot one stroke worse the second round and my rating for the second round was higher than the first.
