General Banter / Re: Possible KC Tournament Sponsor?

I'm liking these Oboz Sawtooth's I recently bought.  Small company.  Good people.  Oboz stands for "Outside Bozeman"....Montana that is.  Check them out!

General Banter / Possible KC Tournament Sponsor?
« on: August 29, 2011, 10:43:21 AM »
I've been into that outdoor equipment store Backwoods at 135th and Metcalf a couple times over the last few months.  There is a guy that works there whom I struck up a conversation with.  He mentioned that he plays disc golf and had met with Keen regarding their disc golf shoe (Milo 2) and carrying it in the shop.

Anyway, I was in there this past weekend and one of the managers/sales associates said that they were going to have a meeting this week with headquarters (Austin, TX) to determine what role disc golf was gonna play moving forward.

I thought this might be a possible sponsorship opportunity for next years 30th KCWO.  Just thought I would make the powers that be aware.

I'm ready to go play it again.  Jack, I think I beat your personal best by carding a 75.  Hehehehe.

BTW, #6 shows 2 pin placements but I couldn't find the other one.

Thanks Jack!

Yes, I did see the new pads going in out there.  Not sure how that is going to differ the flow.  I guess we can call those the women's tees.  :-)

I was out playing Blue Valley over the weekend and was curious what is par on hole #14?  It plays like a 3 but just wanted to confirm.

Also, I recorded par for the course in the current setup as 69.  Can someone verify that as well?  Thanks!

If you haven't played Delaveaga, you haven't played what is arguably one of the best courses in the entire world.

Let's not forget Topekan Nils Nordgren.  Looks like he finished tied for 6th in Advanced Am.

Just heard back from Dave Mac at Gateway.  He said the Warlock mold has not changed.  He said there may have been a run with a different rim but the original mold will continue.

Is the Leopard Pro plastic by chance?  And what is this new rim on the warlock?  Just curious.

Thanks to all involved.  It was great getting to see some of the live action and also catch some of it on discgolfplanet.tv.

With the Worlds being a non-smoking event this year, Feldberg better bring plenty of gum.  He was puffing on the cigs pretty heavily during the final round yesterday.  :-)

Pro Katana.  Nuff said.  But not into a head wind.  If you need something a tad more stable, a Pro Boss.
