Old Pike / Re: Great course
« on: January 14, 2014, 11:59:37 AM »
Thank you for your compliments on the course.  We didn't have much land to work with; so, I wanted the course to be challenging and quirky.  Many of the quirky items have been stolen, which is one of the reasons the course went private.   The donation box is not secure.  Maybe A Cashen box is needed.

In order to limit vandalism and trash, the course is for members of the Old Pike country club or disc golf memberships are available.   Historically, membership has been $50 per year.   its a great time to sign up for 2014. Please contact me for membership information.

Old Pike / Old Pike Nov 5th league cancelled
« on: November 05, 2013, 09:21:15 AM »
Unless there is a volunteer to run op league tonight, it will be cancelled.

It's a fun  course and i hear it will be set up easy for the tourney.  The disc community should support the event.  It's hard to pass up ok joes an thornfield for free!    Everyone playing hopefully will support the cause.
As a side note:  Mr. Pink in KC, one of the fast facts they fed you is a falsehood.   I am not sure which of your administrative assistants helped you with the fast facts; but, I  am fairly certain that Thornfield is  not the only private course in K.C.  But, its the biggest.  Reportedly, there are at least two other secret private courses in the area.  One of which you and your brother Dan helped us build and you are a current member.    Wish I could make it out to Thornfield on Saturday.  Keep up the good work, Pete!

Very strict Scottsmen, McFenton!.    We will strive to tee by six ish.   Please let me or another regular know if you are running late.  We will leave a light on for you if you can get there by tee time.

Old Pike / Aces abound
« on: August 28, 2013, 02:35:26 PM »
Congrats to team Billy Stomps.  First ace for Stomps on four (the Mc Fenton hole) and Billy aced six for probably his first birthday ace!!! Those two aces helped the team pull within two strokes of last place cash.   Per Arturo, it's easy! But, not so easy to cash against team Old school Gary Lewis and young upstart Weaver.

Old Pike / Swope Gold league June 11th
« on: June 10, 2013, 04:01:07 PM »
In order to allow the competitive tournament players to practice for the WO, let's go to Swope Tuesday the 11th.  Arturo said Swope gold was easy.   No Old pike league this week.

That was likely P3. He is a great contributor to courses although he rarely plays.  He let us use his truck for the rosey work day. And, he brought his four wheeler and trailer to haul brush.   Wish we had more people like him!

That's a great ace. I heard Feldberg got in town last night and his caddy got the ace on swope gold.  It's incredible when even your caddy can ace swope gold!  Nice shot, Yaj!!
