Rosedale / Trees Down at Rosy!

On hole #10 there are ALOT of trees down on the Right side of the fairway.  They are not completely on the ground due to being hung up by other trees.  But only time will tell when one falls down.  Hopefully not on top of any one playing.   

I suggest someone take a chainsaw to them piece by piece and then some of us can use the trees to line that fairway... I can come pull trees around if someone else wants to come and cut.  Or I can call the KCP&R and see if they want to come out and just remove them all together.  We could use some mulch for downunder and around UP TOPs teepads I guess.

In a news report yesterday there was a small segment on Internet Explorer.  It seems that Hackers have found a "hole" in the system that allows them to steal login/password information from you. They are suggesting that everyone stop using IE (6-8) until they can fix the loop hole.  So Tracy,  Firefox should get a big boost here in the coming weeks.  Unless of course you use Nutscrape. Does anyone still use that?

We are going to finish putting up some arrows and then we are going to be building an arm rail for hole #8's bridge. Also I want to shore up 10-11 bridges and do some basic clean up on those holes too.  Please come out if you can.  The more people the better for moving a lot of brush and hammering some nails.

Please if anyone has availablity to be at Rosie down under tommorrow around 9:30am-2:00pm we will be out there working on hole 8's tpad and hopefully putting up some more signage to get you around the course better.

Rosedale / Bridges Down Under at Rosie!

Today a few of us went down under and put a temporary fix on #10 and #11 s bridges.  There is still more work to do on those bridges but they are in a state now in which they function better and look nicer.  Next Saturday morning I would like to focus some attention on #8.  I just need about 4-5 people out there so we can hoist up the old bridge and make a few repairs.  If ANY one can come out around 9am and help out I would appreciate the help.  We are running out of decent days and the bad weather is coming.  I believe these repairs are necessary to prevent injuries and other problems.
Things that would help to have are:

Chainsaw(s)
Hammers
Nails(long ones)
Screwguns/drills
Screws (long ones)
Wear Gloves I wont have any for you.
And anything else you can think of that might help. 
Auger or shovels

I have a good idea on what we can do to repair #8 but I would still like some creative feedback in order to make it a functional and safe bridge.

Saturday November 01, 2008

I am posting this to see if there is ANY interest in a mini disc golf tourny at my place!  I've looked around and found nothing special going on this day, and Kate gave me a thumbs up!

Here is what I'm thinking...

$15.00 (5.00 for wifes or hubbys to eat and drink)

Registration - BBQ - BEER - Practice time - 12:00-1:50pm
Players pak!  Probably a towel (for the LAST TIME EVER) and a LIGHT for GLOW!!
3 rounds - 1st round starts at 2:00pm - Last round GLOW it should be dark by 6:30pm so hopefully be over by 7:30-8. Rounds usually last a little more than an hour so If we get done fast we'll play 4 rounds.
24 - MAX PLAYERS (Your significant others are more than welcome to come)
TOP 1/3 CASH PAYOUT!!!
PRIZES IN EVERY ROUND!!!  It may not be special but it will be a prize.
Costume contest?????  Maybe for halloween???

Circle - R Gardens Mini Disc Golf Challenge #1

This tournament will be held Saturday the 20, 2008.

Show up 2:00pm-6:30pm

$5.00 per Round - If your lady or guy wants to come with you they may.  They do not have to pay and they can still play.  You just will not play for the 1st place prize!

100% PAYOUT

OPTIONAL .25 skins on each card.

OPTIONAL I can get a small keg if everyone wants to chip in $5 the day of?  I do have a bar in the basement!!

OPTIONAL There HAS been talk of people bringing instruments and jamming.  THIS IS TOTALLY ALLOWED! as long as your somewhat talented.  :-* If not I'll have tunes going!
