General Banter / New ratings as of 9-8-08 .. We now have 2 1000+ players!

Congratulations to Dave Hemmeline and Arturo Villareal for their jump UP in the Ratings.  David is now our highest rated player at 1010 and Arturo has finally broken in to the big leagues with his I believe FIRST 1000 rating.  Good job this year guys, keep it up.. Oh ya and I went back down and everyone else went up.. Good job to you people for your personal accomplishments or failures like in my case.

Ok so here we go.  This is my TOP TEN list of kansas city course.  Remember this is not to be debated and critized, just a way to see differences in opinion.  At some point if we get at least 10 people to input I'll average out the answers and round it off.  1 being the TOP of your list.

1. Cliff Drive (I believe this courses forces you to play every shot in every situation, A MUST PLAY)
    I know I know... CEMENT!
2. Water Works - I mean ... come on, its... WATER WORKS!
3. Rosedale UP TOP - When set in a challenging config, it can make or break a player!
4. BLUE VALLEY - Tough decision there
5. Rosedale DOWN UNDER - there is NO better league in my opinion than winters down under! 12:30 every
    Saturday after the DAYLIGHT SAVINGS switch.
6. WYCO
7. Prairie Center
8. Swope
9. Blue Valley 9 hole Junior course
10.Shawnee Mission

There were 12 in attendance for this beautiful 81 degree evening.  The wind was steady at 10-12 mph and coming in from the North.

LION'S DEN OPEN VI

It's that time again for all of you to start thinking about us LEO'S again... 

The date - August 23rd, 2008
The place- Cliff Drive (Kessler) Park - Go I-70 to Prospect / go north.  Dont stop until you see baskets!
The time - 11:00am - 1:30pm BBQ 'n BEER - All rounds MUST be started by 1:30 to play for trophy!
The cost - $10 for the party + $10 for Shirt or Past L.D.O. items.

Some of you are asking yourself,  What is the party all about??  well... 

You get:

BBQ (I will provide SOME veggie items for the non-carnevours)<--spell check that please.
BEER
MINI GOLF (w/ prizes)
LIVE BAND!!! (Starting Sometime and Ending Another)
CTP PRIZES
A CHANCE TO SPEND TIME WITH JACK AND DICK.   I MEAN WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED?? 

Please dont answer that.

Also there will be a $5.00 Doubles round starting around 5-ish 30ish no lather than 6:00pm
100% payout!!!!!

We will be meeting on the fairway of hole #8 (the hole where you Tee-Off next to the cliff)

I would also like to stress.. THIS IS NOT A TOURNAMENT - It is a PARTY!  So EVERYONE is invited!!
