General Banter / Middle School on 167th & Antioch 18 hole Junior Course

Well I went out there today to check out the course with Joe Hesting and I'd have to say I like the course.  Its very easy but the guy who designed it and takes care of it is a landscaper and has made it really a pleasing place to play.  I will be back as it is 5 mins from my house.   

Anyway.  I got to meet the designer while he was working on the course today and he wanted me to let everyone know that they are welcome to play the course, even when school is in session.   He said it is open to players and that the parking lot by hole 1 is rarely used, even during school.   I felt like there was a comment made earlier when this course was brought up about not playing during school hours.  And because of that I personally have avoided this gem that was so very close.    Well I have been told by the man himself that it is open to the public.

WYCO / Glow Round @ WYCO this friday 6pm!!! 2-18-11

I can't play Glow tomorrow night unfortunately so I am going to hold a glow round friday night.   It will be as follows:

Random Dubs
5 bucks
2 buck ace fund
(IF ace is not hit we will ctp for the money)

I do NOT have Glow sticks and I do NOT know if anyone will show up.  I will be there anyway because I promised Kate I would take the dog out and that sounds like a nice night for glow.   Anyone want to join me?

Is it just me?   Or does the PDGA hate the fact that a Discraft player won the Championships?   Did anyone else notice that when EMac won the event they never showed his face on the website?   Though every other tournament ran had a picture of the winner?   Then I see that the DVD was released on the website.  Notice the picture of the winner?   Kind of cropped and crappy.   

Not that I am a huge supporter of Discraft but really PDGA?  Is Innova so far up your butt you can't give the other company a little love.   Or forget the company.   Eric won the worlds and if you were not watching the dots or scorecard or happen to catch our forum I bet you don't know who even won?!?!   

Ah well..  My rant is over.. One more thing before I go...

Watch the DVD preview.   When you get to 23 seconds in to the video tell me if that guy in the middle looks like someone we know.....   WHO could it be (it isn't him but sure looks like it)... Let the guessing game begin!

Rosedale / Rosedale Park Break-in

Well after 14 years of disc golf at Rosedale Park, someone fiinally decided to put a rock through my window.   Luckily for my these idiots didn't take time to look around and find anything to steal.   Unfortunately for me I now have a missing window to take care of. 

This will cost me time and money.   So I ask that if anyone of you know someone who can fix my window for cheap please let me know.

2 SEPARATE rounds of Random Draw Dubs

Each round $10

First round we would like everyone to show up no later than 1:00pm

There first round format will be 6-6-6 (Best shot - Alt shot - Best score)

The 2nd round (glow) will be best shot!

For everyone who dresses up and or plays BOTH rounds will be supplied with BEER and FOOD donated by Tom Butler.   

Tom will be BBQn' in between rounds so I would suggest making a day of wyco.

Blue Valley / Anyone have photos for Blue Valley??

I am looking for good high quality photos of Blue Valley.   The course , a hole , a basket placement.   Something that says BV .   No people or cars or extra stuff please.  Roads and houses are fine if they are not a big part of the picture. 

Please contact me if you have anything like that.   

Also looking for Young Park  and Pleasant Hill.

Your picture will be featured on one of this years Bag Tags.

It's that time again folks.    Time to decide who this years most greatest players are...

The 2010 Club Championships

Saturday Oct. 2nd and Sunday Oct. 3rd.

We will play 4 rounds.   

Everyone plays against everyone here

After the 1st day we will flight everyone.  From there you will play against your flight

You can win the Club Championships from ANY flight!

Here is a flier with all the info.  If you have any questions feel free to ask or call or write. 

See everyone Saturday Morning at WYCO .   Please be there 30 mins prior to Tee Off so we can put you on a card!



Details are subject to change.  But most likely wont!

The Club Championships (info coming very soon) will be Oct. 2nd - 3rd.   I will be ending league for 2010 at Rosedale park on Sept. 29th 2010 leading up to the CC.   If someone else WANTS there to be a league out there after that they will have to run it themselves.

The Club Championships are going to be OCT. 2nd-3rd.  After that weekend I will NOT be running any more leagues out there.    So you have 3 weeks to try and hit the ACE before it hibernates for the winter.
