Performance Flight Projected Scores for the Performance Flight have been posted on kcwideopen.com. Please look them over and let me know if you see any glaring omissions in ratings. I think I got all of them covered but you never know.

General Banter / Re: Best Courses after/during rain in the KC area

One thing to consider right now is that we are in a mild drought. So it would have to rain pretty hard to make the courses crappy to play. I would stay away from Heritage as it's in a perpetual muddy state. Cliff and Down Under are also ones that get bad easily. But I would think most courses next week, even if we get rain, will be fine.

Dick Parker, will there be food available for the Performance Flights?  I'm asking b/c I have a friend who has a food truck & he is interested in showing up for our tournaments.

Give him my contact info. I would love to have a food truck out on Sunday at Swope. Although I can't pay him to be out there, it would be him set up taking payment and making food on his own with no commitment from us. We are strapped unfortunately.

I'm planning on running a league on Wednesday at Heritage

Also the Monday PDGA travel league.

trying to pull some of the crowds out of Rosie? nice

Or, trying to give the South Side something to play that doesn't involve I-35.

Dick, do you know how many rounds & which courses that the performance flights will be playing?  I'm trying to decide if I'm doing that or registering for Advanced...Thanks

The Performance Flight will consist of one pool (Pool B) limited to 90 players. All players are welcome to play, regardless of skill level or player classification. The pool will start out on Friday playing the now famous finishing course of the KCWO, Swope Gold, on tee times.  Saturday they will remain on tee times for a grueling round of endurance at Blue Valley. Sunday morning they will go to the world famous Water Works for a final round at 8 AM (Shotgun).

What he said.

Also there is no Advanced division to sign up for so...

So Joe H and Zeke are getting back to the roots of how the competition was originally designed before a lack of interest from women had their spots replaced with more men.

Actually, from the conception, women really didn't have an interest in playing. Other than Tavish and Amanda. Minna did it because we asked her too and Kalee as well. Actually, we begged them to play to fill spots. It was always a question of whether or not we could even field those spots. The main reason we did away with it was because we wanted true competition through-out the event. Not just warm bodies to fill spots.

That's why Joe wants to see a level of competition to get into that spot. It will show general interest and actually give us the fight to win that all of us want.

I'm not going to lie, I'm skeptical. But in a good way. I want the ladies to prove me wrong and show up and commit to playing in the event. The thing you'll find out is that it is a true battle between sides. Everyone who shows up really wants to win. And it shows on every face at the end when you are waiting for those last groups to come in. It's quite a unique experience and it's not as fun if we have to drag someone to play.

Assuming women are in the competition, would they compete against one another, or would they be in the mix to be pitted against anyone?

From what Joe said if they go the 3 women to qualify route, then they would allow 1 women per team and 1 alternate women per team. Then he would do a Mix card. So each women would have a male partner. Then in singles you would go head to head against the other female.
