Just to make sure.  There is no "sign up" for this event if you are a current KCFDC member?

So I'm a current member and I'd like to participate, I just go to Swope between 8am-9am and tell them how many rounds I intend on playing in?

Basically, yes. Just show up and we will check you for current status. If you aren't going to play the next round but intend to play the 3rd or 4th it is helpful. We usually ask you to tell us when you turn the card in so we know whether to flight you or not.

It is basically set. Just not set up. I will get a list of baskets to put in place for Patrick by the weekend. After I get the maps finalized I will post them here and at the book of faces.

Yes there is a walk from 15's basket back to 16's tee, but there is no long walk back from 17's basket to 18's tee so it was a switch off of sorts. Still looking at options for 15 to move also this just gets the course up and running again and disc golfers out of the back yards.

Thanks for the update Pete. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Did you miss the part where Pete said it would be re-designed Dick?

Did you miss the part where Pete said it would be re-designed Dick?  I'm sure it will account for the walk on 15...likely incorporating those woods or something.

Did you miss the part where I asked Pete? Step away from the keyboard.

So what about 15? It takes you away from everything. Are you planning on making people walk back to 15s tee?

I always forget you have to walk across that pin to get to 7.. oh wait. you don't.

WYCO Club Champs Setup:

1 - short
2 - long w/ OB
3 - wherever it is right now
4 - short right w/ mando
5 - short
6 - short
7 - original (by 8's pad)
8 - short
9 - right
10 - long, long (6 alt)
11 - short w/ mando
12 - short
13 - short w/ OB
14 - damn
15 - only
16 - left
17 - middle
18 - short

15 in 13's long placement is really cool...

Maybe fun, but it causes slow downs with 90 people on the course.

It boils down to this. They think it's a safety concern. I didn't share the other laws that were cited because I kind of got the drift. They are concerned about safety. Whether or not we agree with it is a moot point. Let us all just have fun and not worry to much about it.

Don't forget that a huge settlement was just awarded to a person who lost an eye. Most every P&R knows about the story and are on high alert.

why is it that they allow the island hole at Prairie Center but not Shawnee Mission? just curious.

What state law is that?

I asked for you. I was given 3 laws. One of them, I felt this one was most relevant. KSA 21-5819 – Throwing or otherwise casting objects onto a street.

The bottom line is that their Safety board was against it, so there is no need to argue. I honestly think that is the best answer. So for future questions about why we can't use that island in the street, this is your official answer.

The only island we are talking about is the one in the street. Not the one in the pond. Come on Jack, you would question me?
