Can one pay their '18 dues online?

If you pay your dues online and you are already current, I will simply add an additional year to your membership.

As long as you are current through the rest of 2017, you are more than welcome to play by just checking in at Rosedale. If you want to play for your 2018 bag tag, you'll need to sign up for the following year prior to showing up that Saturday. All members who join/renew as of Oct. 1, will be current until Dec 31, 2018.

You love that thing so much....I've never seen anyone dislike their bag so much as you do with this one.  I can attest it is EXTREMELY lightly used...I think that 10x may be about 5x too much in all honesty

I've played at least 10 rounds with him while he b1tcht (used) the bag.

I will be posting pin positions by next weekend. You can find them here, on the FB Group page as well as

Current KCFDC Membership List

This year, in honor of Swope Park and it's final year as a Kansas City staple for disc golf, we are going to play the "classic" KCFDC courses. We are going to start out at Rosedale Park on Saturday morning, playing both the Up Top course and the Down Under course. On Sunday, we will cross the border to Missouri, where we will play Water Works park, finishing off our weekend with a pseudo Swope gold for what we believe may be the final time. While the course won't be filled with all that gold rope we will make sure to plant our foot on every inch of Swope Park to make sure you as a KCFDC member will get a chance to be a part of history. We will have a small gathering after the final round to say goodbye to Swope as a club for the final time. If you happen to finish your round at Water Works, we hope you make the trip over to Swope to join us.

Here is the schedule (subject to change):

Saturday Oct. 21, 2017
Round 1
 Rosedale Park (Up & Down)
Check In: 8 AM - 9 AM (no late arrivals will be allow)
Tee (shotgun) 9:30 AM
Round 2 - Rosedale Park (Up & Down)
Tee (shotgun) TBA *will allow at least 1 hour from last card turned in for lunch.

After the first two rounds, the field will be flighted by scores, with the winner of each flight, after playing all four rounds, receiving a trophy. We will post pool assignments for the second round on Saturday night. You can also find them at the club Facebook page and on the forum. Club members who cannot play all four rounds are encouraged to play any or as many of the rounds as they can. The afternoon rounds will tee off no earlier than one hour after the final card is turned in from the previous round.

Sunday Oct. 22, 2017

Remember, we will attempt to do a final farwell to Swope Park after the final round, so please try to join us for that moment in KC Disc Golf histroy.

KCFDC Individual memberships now includes a bag tag, and for new members only, a KCFDC mini disc. Individual Memberships are $25 and Family memberships are now $40 and include two bag tags. The cost of additional tags for family members listed as club members is $5. This means that everyone who renews their membership for the 2018 year will automatically be playing for a bag tag position. If you do not play any rounds then you will be on a first come, first serve. Tags will be available at the Club Elections/Dinner. The final place to pick them up after that is TBD.

big tree down on 11 at waterworks, I think that is the biggest issue out there right now.

ill have to take a trip up to bad rock to check it out but I was up north when the storm hit and I think it was much worse in the city

#11 is bad but there are lots and I mean lots of limbs down. #9 lost the top of a tree and quite a few other issues throughout. Just needs to be cut and dragged to the road so P&R can get them.

Man, same day as the Lion's Den Open. Bummer for you. Maybe someone can run it for you that day so you can attend. :)

Congratulations to the East Side for finally getting that monkey off their backs. They fought hard enough to barely win by 2 points...

For a full recap of the weekend, check out this small unbiased report I wrote for the event:

The 2017 Kansas City Team Challenge is under way. The first round of this match play event started out at Lakeside Hills in Olathe, KS. This highly anticipated event lived up to the hype. Both teams, Kansas (west) and Missouri (east), came out and put it all on the line in this round 1 battle.

On paper, the East Side looked unstoppable. The West Side, missing some key players from previous years, looked somewhat like a wounded duck. But with key match-ups and solid play of the West Side, they took a classic round 1 lead by taking 5.5 points, leaving the East Side with the remaining 3.5 points.

East Side looks to bounce back in round 2 when the Kansas team travels to Legacy Park in Lee's Summit, MO for Alternate Shot Dubs. There are 9 points up for grabs
The Final round of Singles match play will stay at Legacy is worth 18 points. One of these impressive teams, made up of some the best players in KC, will walk away with their names engraved on the KC Team Challenge Traveling Trophy.

Thank you to everyone who qualified and showed up for the event. This is quickly becoming one of the most coveted events to play in every year.
To those who didn't get in this year, but want to see some of the action, you are more than welcome to come out to Legacy tomorrow to watch all the action. The morning round will roll off of Hole #1 approximately @ 10 am. And don't forget to check the calendar next year for your chance to play in one of the qualifiers.

Round 1 Results:
West Side - 5.5 Points
East Side - 3.5 Points

3) Tags can be in play on card if the players on that card agree before the round starts.  The LC will NOT settle on-card tag disputes because those were personal agreements.

I think what you are doing is great. We need a NPL in town for just this reason. The one thing I disagree with is the tag thing. The tags should always be in play during a club event. That's one of the tag rules we instituted years ago. Other than that, great job on putting this together and running it.
