Circle - R Gardens Mini Disc Golf Challenge #1
This tournament will be held Saturday the 20, 2008.
Show up 2:00pm-6:30pm
$5.00 per Round - If your lady or guy wants to come with you they may. They do not have to pay and they can still play. You just will not play for the 1st place prize!
100% PAYOUT
OPTIONAL .25 skins on each card.
OPTIONAL I can get a small keg if everyone wants to chip in $5 the day of? I do have a bar in the basement!!
OPTIONAL There HAS been talk of people bringing instruments and jamming. THIS IS TOTALLY ALLOWED! as long as your somewhat talented.
If not I'll have tunes going!

69 HWY SOUTH to 179th st. GO EAST or LEFT on 179th st. at STOP SIGN or METCALF AVE. GO RIGHT or SOUTH, Turn RIGHT or WEST onto 194th st. which is the street AFTER STILWELL SMOKEHOUSE. Fifth House on the right. 7204

Ok so my understanding is that the "Competitive" teams will not play until the second round. Am I correct here?
Well I am going to be out there to volunteer in the morning round helping out the kids who play. After that I will be heading to my house for if anyone is interested ...for Mini Golf! The course is mowed and the baskets are set. So if you are NOT in the other tourney , mini golf is probably for you. And if you ARE in the tourney , by all means stop over when your done and jump in. We'll play as many rounds as we can get in until everyone leaves. or until 9-10pm. BTW I DO HAVE BASKETS! So this will be make your putt disc golf mini. Someone bring GLOW sticks! It gets dark early so the GLOW round maybe fun!

I think that one day if Jack continues the process of the course anything in the 50s will be considered under par. Oh yeah!
I would like to see that. Some 450' wooded holes would go a long way in adding some true par 4's too. #17 on that island would be sweet as well.
That is one of the holes I'm speaking of.
Ok Dick....Making it longer probably wouldn't suck, but why not make multiple placements like rosie? That way it can be friendly to all levels of golfers, pros and ams alike!! And I think I did say it needed tweeking, not redesigning. Dick you need to stop beating me, I'm not your kid

Adding Length would not suck. We can't design every course with the mindset of an amatuer golfer. 350ft is a duece to most pros. PARKED! So the "LONG" holes are just Long par 3's They don't challenge the PROs in the same way they challenge you and me. Challenging yes as is! It's time that KC start thinking about TRUE disc golf par 4's and maybe one day 5s Which yea BV has some but that's overkill. Jack has the best piece of land to work with and even more on the way for another course.
It's not a redesign anyway, its just a little tweeking.

There is no offense to your opinion I just don't agree. I think we have the course your looking for in Down Under. And I do like the back nine. Yes it does need trees, but the length is what makes it cliff drive. But to say we don't have enough courses that are short and boring . pleeeease. We have WAY TO MANY little courses for people to learn to play. We need more BIG courses to challenge our elite players and also help some of us crappy players like myself get better. And Cliff Drive in my opinion gives you every look. If the whole course looked like the front I would just drive to Rosy . But dont think you offend anyone. Opinions are like Arse soles. We all got em and they all stink.

« on: September 10, 2008, 10:28:58 PM »I just played out there today and as far as dumping, I didn't see any. However, it looks like someone has been living out on hole #3. There were a few shirts laying out to dry and some other stuff laying on the ground.
As far as the future of the course, I would love to see more wooded holes such as the front nine. I know some of the big arms would be sad to see the 5 million foot holes go by the way side, but don't we have enough of those courses around? For me, I enjoy the technical aspect of the game more than just throwing it 8 miles off every tee. Even holes like ten where you eventually wind up in the woods have more appeal to me then a wide open field.
BTW the front nine does look great. The improvements from the begging of the summer are amazing.

Really? You think there is ANY course in KC that compares to the variety of Cliff Drive? Yes there are big holes, and little ones and wooded and wide open and by streets and down hills and up hills and around corners. Really? Ok.

Congratulations to Dave Hemmeline and Arturo Villareal for their jump UP in the Ratings. David is now our highest rated player at 1010 and Arturo has finally broken in to the big leagues with his I believe FIRST 1000 rating. Good job this year guys, keep it up.. Oh ya and I went back down and everyone else went up.. Good job to you people for your personal accomplishments or failures like in my case.
