General Banter / YOUR TOP TEN FAVORITE KC COURSES!

Ok so here we go.  This is my TOP TEN list of kansas city course.  Remember this is not to be debated and critized, just a way to see differences in opinion.  At some point if we get at least 10 people to input I'll average out the answers and round it off.  1 being the TOP of your list.

1. Cliff Drive (I believe this courses forces you to play every shot in every situation, A MUST PLAY)
    I know I know... CEMENT!
2. Water Works - I mean ... come on, its... WATER WORKS!
3. Rosedale UP TOP - When set in a challenging config, it can make or break a player!
4. BLUE VALLEY - Tough decision there
5. Rosedale DOWN UNDER - there is NO better league in my opinion than winters down under! 12:30 every
    Saturday after the DAYLIGHT SAVINGS switch.
6. WYCO
7. Prairie Center
8. Swope
9. Blue Valley 9 hole Junior course
10.Shawnee Mission

Then lets start another discussion.  One not to be really argued over but one just to post your own top ten list.  If you wanted to get real crazy you could take everyones answers and tablulate an average TOP TEN for kansas city.  Eh.  Probably a stupid idea but hey Ill do it.

Okay, so who's watching the action on the web http://www.pdga.com/schedule/event.php?TournID=7276    Do they have PAR set TOO HIGH on these courses or what 

Par was pretty ridiculous.  Apparently the pdga came in before the tourney and set the par.  Put it this way... there were 350' par fours that you could get to on your drive...  courses that should play an average difficulty par 54 were playing par 60-62...

Well that makes more sense as far as another discussion we were having in another thread about setting up par 2's to make it at least not seem so easy.  But if they were calling these holes par 4's at 350' then the PDGA made a huge mistake in setting the pars so high.  Though a 41 is still a 41 I don't care WHAT course you play.

For slippery pads, there are products available that are sort of like paint, but with granules of coarse sand mixed in to provide improved traction. Maybe something like that would work?

Or what about Jack's driveway? It looks like it would provide plenty of traction in the rain. We could cut Jack's driveway up and use it for tee pads!

Yeah it is similar to rhino liner.  Which I knew the actual truck liner stuff wouldn't work but it's the same principle.  I think something like that would help and be somewhat in expensive.  And as I said before just 2-3ft at the top of the pad.

I have always thought putting a Rhino Liner style surface on the front 2ft of the pad. Then again I'm sure that is pricey.

I don't know for sure but I was thinking about having an after party at my house 3.6 miles away from the course.  Set up a mini golf course, drink beer play ping pong - pool - poker whatever.  If anyone is interested in doing that I'll check with my sponser Kate.

Thank you Bob.  You guys rocked and what a harmonica player.  whew.  Thanks to everyone who came out.  Other than the one problem with Matt's car getting broke into the day went smooth.  And the cop that showed up to mess with us was crazy funny.  I would like to know where a one Carson Wilson was yesterday.

I will have scores posted from the day soon as I work off this hang over.
