Well here is the new revised layout for the Mini Tourny on Nov. 1, 2008:

$15.00
Beer/Food/Registration 12:00-1:45pm
3 rounds of Doubles (random draw EACH ROUND)
After every round YOU keep your Team Score.  So if A and B play the first round and shoot -2 Both players are -2 .  In the next round your new partner could be -5.  You are still -2.  After that round your TEAM score is added to your Personal score.
Final Round is GLOW.  I will provide ONE LIGHT for EVERY PLAYER.  I do have some MINI's for sale if you don't have one, or if you lose one.
Cash Payout to the TOP 1/3

1st round - BEST SHOT
2nd round - 6 - 6 - 6  Best shot - Alternate Shot - Best Score
(If there is a 4th round it will be IN BETWEEN HERE and it WILL be BEST SHOT)
3rd round - BEST SHOT - GLOW

I have a list of players interested in playing, if there is a P by your name it means you're possible.  I know you may not be able to make it.

Dick Parker
Kate Pearce
Otto Spiers
Eric Garber
Tavish Carduff
Wes Lubberts
Fred Smith (P)
Bom Tutler (P)
Andy Lewis (P)
DEANO (P)
T-J Ring (P)
Marshall Wolfe (P)
Dave Hemmeline (P)

That means I only have 11 spots left.  Unless of course those P's turn into NO's.  So please email me or contact me at leagues or where-ever if you would like to come.

Winning the advanced division and the only person to break 100 (99) by one throw was Dick Parker, who, upon accepting his award, reminded us that he won the novice division at the Rac in 2002, and had been playing advanced since, and finally celebrated his first win in that division. His 47 during the second round was one of only three rounds under 50 on the day. Second place was captured by Nick Winkelbauer, followed by Jack Lowe and Brian Gammon. Brian will be thinking about the 18th hole of his first round for a while because going into #8 on the island, he was four under par. He lost those four throws on that hole when he suffered a ”7”. He lost to Dick by four throws.

I actually believe that Brian was lucky I missed 4 putts inside 20 ft which would have given me a huge lead over the field making his 7 the hole that put him an additional 4 strokes from victory. so  :-* errr.. I mean  :P

Actually Nick Wink should have beat us all but that one 5 on #13 really hurt ..  Thanks Nick!

Saturday November 01, 2008

I am posting this to see if there is ANY interest in a mini disc golf tourny at my place!  I've looked around and found nothing special going on this day, and Kate gave me a thumbs up!

Here is what I'm thinking...

$15.00 (5.00 for wifes or hubbys to eat and drink)

Registration - BBQ - BEER - Practice time - 12:00-1:50pm
Players pak!  Probably a towel (for the LAST TIME EVER) and a LIGHT for GLOW!!
3 rounds - 1st round starts at 2:00pm - Last round GLOW it should be dark by 6:30pm so hopefully be over by 7:30-8. Rounds usually last a little more than an hour so If we get done fast we'll play 4 rounds.
24 - MAX PLAYERS (Your significant others are more than welcome to come)
TOP 1/3 CASH PAYOUT!!!
PRIZES IN EVERY ROUND!!!  It may not be special but it will be a prize.
Costume contest?????  Maybe for halloween???

Well thats what I got... Anyone interested?

OH and If the weather sucks I'll cancel it.

PRE REGISTER (just tell me you're coming)

So far we got:

Dick Parker
Kate Pearce
(22 available spots)

BAM!

Dick -- I meant to say something at Swope but I was afraid you'd throw one at me...  ;)  ...you gotta quit double-clutching your drive. Wind up once and let 'er fly.

*wildly throws disc at cd's head*

A pleasant enough evening for the 29 players, but there's seem to be a problem with not enough light. As a remedy to this, we'll be out there at 4:45 next weekend, and will send out groups of 3 or 4 on holes #1 and hole #10 as they are formed (yes, you can form your own groups.) No group will go off later than 5:15. The course will be shorter next Wednesday, based on the second round of the RAC. Please alert any non-message board readers of this plan.

General Banter / Re: YOUR TOP TEN FAVORITE KC COURSES!
« on: September 23, 2008, 03:21:32 PM »
8, 9 & 10 Intentionally left blank.  I'd have to list courses outside of Kansas City for them to be considered favorites.  The rest of the courses in town are not on my favorites list in any way shape or form.

1. The Down Under
2. Water Works
3. Cliff Drive
4. Wyco
5. Swope
6. Pleasant Hill
7. Dick Parker's Mini Golf Course ;)
8.
9.
10.

AHA..  Boy if everyone who came puts it down as at least their 10th fav course I might just make it on the list :)..  doubt it though
