General Banter / Re: Signature Holes

As far as Thornfield goes it is Not #7.  #7 is the hole that shoots up into the woods.  Tight little 275ft shot. The next hole is 8 which shoots out the gap with the water short right of the pin and the pin is tucked up to the right.  #9 plays with the water to the left and the rolling fairway.  One of my favorites. #5 is also a good one.  480ft slight dogleg right with the water behind.  #6 has the tee behind the water with a small hyzer out with a big 2nd shot to get close enough for an easy 4.  #4 plays downhill which is kinda cool.

I was just finally looking at the PDF.  For those of you who asked.  Yes we will have a AM Grandmaster division if 3+ people show up.  Just add it to the flyer or signup online and the option is there.  I also noticed it says $73 $53 $33.  add 2 bucks to that. If you already sent in your money I will just hit you up when you check in.  Be warned.  Kevin please remove that .PDF file and I will get you a new one to replace it.  I am looking for 2 people to assist with courses.  Jack is running a course and I am running the other course.  We each need someone there to help.  Also I could use a couple extra hands at the party for whatever reason (taking money checking in paid players).  I know a few people have already offered to help out so if you are one of those people and are still interested this would be the time to tell me.  And please if you PM me and you have an obscure screen name let me know who you are so I know who I'm talking to.  Thanks.

Rosedale / Rosey League 4-29-09

Well it was raining all the way up till about 5:58pm.  In which I got out of my car looked around at the beautiful weather and called league.  Arturo was there for a minute but he ended up leaving.  Honestly I think he was just sleeping there... Not actually there for league :).  Anyway.  I won and the club gets nothing.  Sorry.

On another note... We now have 9 people registered for the Wide Open.  That means there are only 171 spots left.  I'm sure by the end of the week that number will change.  Lets get Registered!!!

I have a more detailed PDF that I'm waiting for Kevin to include on the site.  To answer your questions:

Just show up with your wife or anyone for that matter to the party and you can pay 6 dollars there.  This is just so people can pay for it up front if they wish.  The party is for everyone.  Yes if you can't make it on Friday, and you have already paid, you can check-in Saturday morning before 9am, but I would like not to take ANY money that day for people wanting in.    That is more of what Friday is for.  If there are any spots left that is.

None of you will ever be as cool as me.  I have perfected the art of not being cool to be cool.  I have been making fun of me long before any of you knew who I was.  So laugh it up.   Attention only makes me cooler.  Or not.  Maybe that's the point.  You will never win..  Or I may not let you loose.  either way.  I win.  Get it?  Or didn't you?  heh.. I may never know.

I would like to know how this is going to affect the Wide Open or even the Worlds this year.  I understand full and well that our players can not drink or do anything illegal while playing their rounds.  My main concern is are they going to be harassing the players during the competition?  I know if I were in the middle of a round the LAST thing I would want to worry about is some cop bothering me.  Will there be an understanding with in the P&R that we are there to merely compete and Outside distractions would be discouraged?

I think they should have a reason to search you.   Not just because you are in their park.   I would understand if they felt they saw something or had a reason.  But, Not just because your there.  I don't know if they do already but maybe they should put a sign up as you walk in.  "All people are subject to random searches" At least be honest about what you are about to do to someone.

Again.  Rico's company has a shirt with chains on it .  It is up to the person viewing that whatever way they want.  That shirt is the least of our problems in the sport.  Really look at the magazine and the ones of the past.  They have never and would never go out of their way to support pot.  It is ambiguous .  Emphasizing the period. Next topic please...

I have a better question.  Why did any of you waste your time to quote/comment on it :).
