General Banter / Re: Workdays for the Wide Open
« on: June 03, 2015, 07:22:02 am »
Please don't move too many of  the baskets to WO locations until we get a little closer to the event. When they sit somewhere too long there is erosion and wear n tear that makes those placements look bad. Especially with all the rain we have been getting. At least wait until next weekend. Or just do whatever you want. :) I'm just suggesting.

Exact same set up as last year with nicer rope.

Mr. TD Parker,
I'm caddying the first two days, but want to help the community as well. Would you like me fill out the form above?  I can run supplies, help at work days, etc. Just let me know. This is such a big weekend for the KCFDC, I just want to be a dude in the background who got his hands dirty.

Fill out the form just so I have it on record so when I start calling people next week it will not get forgotten. Thanks.

MO: Water Works or Smithville Complex (Woodhenge or Blackthorn)
KS: Lakeside Hills or if you really want a treat drive out to Perry KS. Or for time sake you can play Rosedale I guess.

If you would like to volunteer as a spotter for the KC Wide Open, Please fill out this online form. All this information will be sent directly to me. Once we get a little closer I will contact each of you and let you know exactly where and when you will work. You will receive a teeshirt and lunch if you work the full day. Thank you very much.

LAME

Looks like we have our 2016 TD for the Wide Open right here. Sounds like he has great ideas...

55
No players party this year. I'm trying something different. More details to come once I iron out the wrinkles. I think it will still be a special year and hopefully everyone will appreciate the efforts of all of our fine volunteers who give their time to make your time more enjoyable.

Speaking of volunteers. I am working on getting a volunteer form online for people to start signing up for some spotter duties. We should have it up after this weekend.

We have a team. How cool is it you cant even spell your own teammate Chris Newburg's name right. SUCKERS!

Really... That's your come back? A spelling error? You guys are going to do great.

Ps. Be prepared to hand our trophy over.

Ps. Possession is 9/10 of the law.

I have a message from Sheila Kirkham from New Mexico. She is looking for a place to stay in order to save on cash. She thinks she will have to drop out if she can not find one. She wants to know if there is anyone in town that can put her up for the weekend? Please let me know and I will give you her # so you can contact her an work out any details. Thanks.

The course is far from placement golf. It is more how far can you throw? But hey what do I know. The "future" is here and guess what? It's still not a course people like to play.
