Tournaments / Re: 2017 Schedule for Kansas City and surrounding areas
« on: December 19, 2016, 10:00:23 AM »
By the looks of this schedule, there is no room for a LDO in 2017. We would be going up against something every weekend. I've lost quite a bit of money over the last 3 years so that is something I'll have to ponder.

Dick, any idea if your ZUCA or a newer one will accommodate a wider/older top-of-the-line (at the time) Revolution brand DG far as clearance w/ the wheels/etc...?

Well, I don't know. I did sell my Zuca already. Mine was not a "Backpack" or "Universal" cart so it was made primarily for the Zuca bag. I would think that it would work on a old Revolution bag tho.

Yes indeed. We are at the beautiful Prarie Center all winter.

Tonight to break up the dominating team the last two weeks, I proclaim Thimmesch and Taylor to both play opposite hand Cali.

Do you guys have lights if one decides to join you?

I'll share photos later . Likely tomorrow. I paid $410 for it when it came out. I'm not looking for that but keep it in mind. Most of these I have seen go for $250+. I'm willing to listen to offers.

Yes, except in the case of ties going to 2 different locations. In that case, I just grabbed a tag and said here ya go.

Anyone on this list that has the letters DD next to their name now may pick their tag up and Dynamic Discs KC. If your name has nothing next to it, then you either 1) haven't told me where you want your tag or 2) You told me in the last 12 hours and I haven't got it down there yet. I just don't want you to think it's there when it isn't.

Disc Golf World will get their tags this Saturday before noon. Anyone who asks for their tag to go to DD at this point will also have to wait until Saturday around noon. Any questions? I DIDN'T THINK SO!

Yes, they will have an allotment of tags to give you when you renew. DD will have some starting tomorrow and DGW will have them starting Saturday after I get there. Likely after 12.

Below is a list of everyone current club members, what their bag tag assignment is if they played in the club championships, and where they have selected to pick up their tag. Anyone who is current through 2017, not on this list, or who hasn't yet tell me where to drop your tag off needs to email ASAP.

I am planning on visiting Dynamic Discs this evening. If you want your tag dropped off there, you MUST TELL ME TODAY!!!!!!!!

I'm going to visit Disc Golf World Saturday morning with those tags. If you want yours dropped off there YOU MUST TELL ME BY FRIDAY!!!!

Double checking - if we did not play in club championships, we can pay our 2017 fees at either store and receive the 2017 bag tag starting below the last championship number (approximately figuring the tags are split between stores)?

Basically, yes, you are correct. I intend to visit both stores this week and drop of an allotment of tags for distribution. I'm still trying to get a hold of a few people to find out where they want their tags dropped off before I make the long trip so that's why they are not there yet. I will post here and on facebook when they are at either store.

I am going to give every other tag to each store so they have pretty much a fair sampling of #'s to give out. One store will not have 10 better than the other basically. Also, not the last championship # due to the amount of people who picked up during the meeting who were not there. So we are now giving away 160+.

Yes, I actually am just now getting the weekend wrapped up. My goal is to have all of the tags available at the store you chose no later than this Friday, if not sooner. I will post here when certain stores have tags to pick up. Those who paid to have theirs mailed, please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Please check this list to make sure your name and store location preference is on there. If not, please email me at to let me know where you would like to pick it up asap. I will be going down to each store this week.

Innova has made some 110g DX Rocs. They were actually fun to throw until you hit something.. like the ground.

WOW, what a weekend of beautiful weather and fun golf. We had 116 individuals play at least 1 round of golf this weekend. 66 players ended up playing all 4 rounds. Thank you to everyone who spent their weekend with us. It was fun and exhausting at the same time.

Congratulations to our 2016 Club Championship winner Arturo Villarreal. This is Arturo’s 2nd time winning this event. With the way he plays, it likely will not be the last. Great Job Arturo! We ended up with 8 other flights after Saturday’s play. Congratulations to those winners. They are Peter Bures (A FLIGHT), Kelly Babbit (B FLIGHT), Andrew Stomps (C FLIGHT), John Beatty (D FLIGHT), Tyler House (E FLIGHT), Jeff Gradinger (F FLIGHT), Will Stiles (G FLIGHT) and Jeff Jacobs (H FLIGHT).

After this weekend, we are sitting at 379 current members. With the elections coming up in a month we will likely get back over 400 current members. Thank you to everyone who has donated their time and money to our local disc golf community.

Scores are posted on the website.

After a long wait, all the scores have been entered, flights have been assigned and pools are set. Please make sure you go to the pool you are assigned. A Pool will be at Lakeside Hills at 9 am and Pool B will be at Heritage at 9 am. Please show up early and check in. If you are not on the list, you can show up at either course to get your rounds in. Just follow that pool to the next course if you choose to play both rounds tomorrow.

Remember, you can not leave the pool you are in at this point. But if you shoot the best score after 4 rounds, you will be crown the Club Champion.
