Tournaments / Re: East Vs. West 2016--June 18th and 19th Location TBD

Assuming women are in the competition, would they compete against one another, or would they be in the mix to be pitted against anyone?

From what Joe said if they go the 3 women to qualify route, then they would allow 1 women per team and 1 alternate women per team. Then he would do a Mix card. So each women would have a male partner. Then in singles you would go head to head against the other female.

2016 KCWO fundraiser discs are now available to purchase.

Innova Champion Discs has hooked us up with the pre-release of the Champion Colossus, their first 14 speed driver.  You can currently purchase these at the DGU online store. Please buy as many as you can. Proceeds from the sales of these discs go to help the Wide Open. Local sales will start next week when they arrive. We will share details on when and where you can pick yours up. Thank you!

There is no amateur event this year. There is a Performance Flight that is Trophy only, which is open to anyone, regardless of age, sex, or skill level. You don't have to play if you feel we are giving you.. the shaft. We are in fact running a very fun and exciting event unlike anything we have done before. You can A) be a part of it. or B) don't. If you choose B, we would hope that you would volunteer your time that weekend to help us give the people who choose to play a professional experience.

There is, in fact, an all Amateur event called the Midwest Amateur Championships. This in itself has grown to the size of the entire Wide Open, without any Pros. We highly suggest that you play that to get your traditional Am tournament fix. Or one of the other 200 Amateur offered events that happen during the year, here in Kansas City. There is also the GBO the weekend before that is hosting an Amateur event on top of their NT.

Found and Lost / Re: Calling PETE = Westside Discs - Harp FOUND @Rosedale

Pete - looks like you are missing this pretty thing.  Found on #9 at Rosedale.
Please describe so I can return to proper owner.

If it just says "Pete" then I would take it to DD. I'm sure they know who it belongs too.

Now for a little more information. We are going to be posting all of this info on our Facebook page and website over the next few days/week. But for now we thought we would share with you guys. The following information is subject to change.

Thursday will be the Check In/Players Party/Fly Mart. We will be doing a dinner/welcome that evening at the Swope Pavilion. There will be games, music, and vendors. After the Player Meeting we will distribute the players packs to everyone at that time. If you are not able to attend, we will have other ways of getting your players pack but we encourage you to be a part it if you can. It is a party with a free dinner, including drinks. Games will be free to play and we will have prizes for winners. This is something that we feel everyone will want to attend.

Pool A (All Pro Divisions):
All rounds are on Tee Times

Friday- Blue Valley
Saturday- Swope Gold
Sunday- Swope Gold

Pool B (Performance Flight)

Friday- Swope Gold (Tee Times)
Saturday- Blue Valley (Tee Times)
Sunday- *Water Works/Rosedale (Shotgun)

*If we have 90 or less players we will go to Water Works for the Final. If we have 91-144 players we will have a Saturday Night Shuffle. Meaning that the top half will go to Water Works to play for Trophies. The bottom half will go to Rosedale. While the bottom half will no longer be eligible to win a trophy, both of these rounds will include chances to win prizes and other cool stuff. eg; Discs, Merch, Vouchers ect. We are going to make it very fun and try to give back tot he players in the best way possible.

So, hopefully that answers a few of the questions that have been going around. We have other things planned for the week since a lot of people are staying in town from the GBO. As those thing materialize we will be getting that information to you. We believe that between these two events you will have a feeling of being a part of a 2 week party that doesn't seem to quit.

Here is the breakdown for registration.

National Tour (MPO/FPO):
1020-1060: NOW
1000-1019: 1/11/16 9 AM
970-999: 1/18/16 9 AM
Everyone Else: 1/25/16 9 AM

A-TIER (MPM,FPM,MPG,MSG):
Everyone who qualifies for age bracket: NOW

A-Tier Performance Flight:
0-900: NOW
901-920: 1/11/16 9 AM
921-950: 1/18/16 9 AM
951-1000: 1/25/16 9 AM
1001-1060: 2/1/16 9 AM

As some of you know, technology is a b1tc4. Because of this fact, some people slipped through a crack that happened when we opened registration. Those people have all been contacted and informed that they were not supposed to be able to register. To save everyone a bunch of refund fees we are putting them on an UNOFFICIAL wait list. This is not a wait list that will grow. You can not get on it. If you are on it, you're welcome. It's the best we could come up with. If you are not, please do as they are doing, and wait to be officially added to the list when it is their time to enter as long as spots are available.

At this point, our glitch has been fixed. All registrations are working as they are supposed too. More information will be leaked this week in regards to the things Jack touched on. Please refrain from the need for more until we release that info. We will treat you like Marshawn Lynch treats the media.
