So how do you get your group to agree it has come to rest? If it is wedged for only 2 seconds and falls out it, it hasn't come to rest. But if it is wedged for 6 seconds and falls out, it is considered at rest, you replace the disc where it was just so the thrower can pick it right back up, and the shot counts? That doesn't make any sense.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I think the emphasis for the results will still be on the better ball golfers. Could weight disc golf a little higher since the par is lower.
You said this is random flip? If 2 people get pairs who stink at ball golf, they are SOL. Ultimate team would have a hot golfer and a hot discer. Like Gulbis & Juliana hot.

I have trouble throwing it more than about 25 feet. I haven't tried tucking fingers under the rim though. I think there are a couple of different techniques with this.

Yes, it's measured from the lie, which is the back of the disc or the back of a marker if one is used. However, if a lie is barely inside 10 meters, a player may not justify jump-putting by stepping back to outside 10 meters, even if they are playing it within 30 cm on the line of play of their lie.
