If we truely want to grow the sport a 10$ rec division sounds like a great way to go. Hell do it every other weekend and float it through all the parks for max exposure.
I have been throwing flat plastic discs since forever and it still amazes me that people don't know about Disc golf or that is is a seriouse sport that pays the best players. How great is that, getting paid to play disc golf.
I would have played in the DUI, but we had eliminations for the disk golf team for KCCC.
The inclusion of Disc Golf in Kansas City Corperate Challange was a great boost for the sport. I saw it on the sign up sheet and thought, Hey I used to play that game, maybe I will go out for that.
Now here I am a year later, a card carrying PDGA member planning my summer around which PDGA events myself and my Padowan, GTR can fit in without angering our respective wives and/or going broke. The Inclusion of some great causes like FLHW prostate cancer fundraiser and OZANAM are just icing on the cake. I can help out a good cause and still have a hell of a time.
Play Leauges, Play tournements, get out and meet the best and worst the sport has to offer. Party with new friends, try new courses, and remember "Most Fun Wins". And it your happen to score a T-shirt or Disc, Congratulations, you have a great memento from a good time.
