Rosedale / Re: Lost Disc Drop - How Do I Get it Back?

Well, I hope some honest person saw the disc in the drop and realized it was not safe, because it was not there last night.

If somebody took it, I hope the fleas of a thousand camels nest in your jock strap! Karma will bite you in the a--.

I'll check tonight. Hopefully it is still there.

Rosedale / Lost Disc Drop - How Do I Get it Back?
« on: April 29, 2009, 10:45:21 AM »
I had a person call me saying they found my disc at Rosedale, but I was already to far away to head back.  So I asked him to put it in the disc drop near the first hole.

My questions: how do I get this disc back now? who can open and when will they be checking it again?

It is an orange teerex - with verstraete - and my phone number.

PS: Much thanks to the person who called, I really appreciate it!!!!

Thanks Ben!!

Rick called me Sat. to let me know he had it.

Thanks Ben!!! There were a lot of things "slipping" on Sunday (not whining, because this was an ICE Bowl).

There was a light blue disc on the table, but it was not mine. I checked the table several times and did not see it.

Like I said, if someone really needs a disc that bad, they can have it.  They have to live with themselves.

Thanks for the information.  I was there through the last round, but the last time I checked was before it started.  I was just thinking about unfreezing my feet when the round was over.  I'll check with Rick to see if it made it to the table.

You would have thought it would have come to the table directly from 18 right after it was found.  But maybe they were thinging the same as me "must find warmth" :)

This disc was in a tree at about 12pm and gone by 1pm.  Somebody had to have found it. It has my name and number on it. It was NOT turned into the tournament table.

Someone at the shelter said I should put "reward given if found" on my discs.  I think the reward is good karma and someone returning your disc when found.

I have returned over 15 discs (two at the Ice Bowl on Sunday!!!) and I have only been playing since April '08. Several of these discs were after swimming for mine in the Pleasant Hill City Lake.

If you found the blue Valkyrie-150 and you are choosing to keep it, you probably need it worse than me. But I am not sure how you can throw it with a clear conscience.

Rant over - Thanks,

Which newsletter?  I just read the only one Rick has published for 9/21:  KC Disc Golf News, and there was no mention of Glow Day at Water Works.

Is there another place I need to be looking?

Thanks, Tom

Is there any information on the Day Glow event at Water Works published anywhere yet?

I thought this was being rescheduled to Oct 4th. Dan, have you any plans for the reschedule yet?

I'll bring my basket Sunday.  I'll be there around 12:15 or so.

What is this going to do for League and the upcoming Afternoon D-Lite with Afterglow?

This one is too dirty to tell anything about it.  Was it thrown BEFORE the course was put in?  ;)

PM or I can bring it to doubles or the next Afternoon D-Lite.

Just west of 16's basket.  Marked with my last name and phone.

No luck with finding mine (didn't make it back for that one).  Went in next to 1 to retrieve Beth's floater.  While I was wet thought I would take a look around. ;D
