Tournaments / Re: 2013 Midwest Amateur Championships
« on: June 17, 2013, 01:27:21 PM »
As a guy coming from outside the K C area, I think this event is awesome. It gives folks a chance to come to KC and play some of the most awesome courses on the planet. With that said, an Open tourney would be most awesome as well. It's kinda weird coming from the outsiide now, but, looking from the outside now, it just seems that there are some overly critical comments on how things are done. With that said, it's not a bad thing to keep expressing your views as to what is happening in the community. I can only hope that people keep giving their feedbackk to what they think is towards the betterment of the disc golf community here in Kansas Citty.

Much love,
Tallguy

Does it affect anyone's opinion that Wysocki is hurt?

and I golfed with him this week, how hurt can you be at 20 years old with a calf strain?  I mean come on, it's no nearly as bad as a masters playing injured with a hang nail, on their non throwing hand... That's serious!

That reminds me....Where are my clippers?  :P

Thanks Jack!  8)

At the risk of stepping on Jack here, pretty sure he's all good with ya' donating $5 to WW that night.  8)

I look forward to getting back up there, and seeing the courses all groomed up for the WO next week!  8)

All I can say, is that I wish we had that problem here in Wichita.  :'(

There are some good courses around here, once you figure out  that amost EVERY little town around Wichita has one.  Albeit, you may have to drive a minute to get to some of them, but, I just relate it to driving across town in KC.  8)

I'm on-call this weekend, or I would be playing.  But, since I live here, I'll be making it out there when I can.  8)

I throw round ones that say Organic Wizard, and I throw them because they're giggity.  8)

I finally read your comments Jack.  Actually, all I did was follow the links from the site until it came to the booking.  I selected my dates, and it set me up with a "Last minute deal".  I was a little surprised myself actually.  8)

I was gonna say, I saw Coda this past weekend in Okie country.  He's living in Broken Arrow currently, and appears to be working towards straightening stuff out.  On another note, after a failed attempt at diving for a disc in a DDC competition, (which gave me my 999 DNF status), I was given the Indian name "Falls like tree".  ;D

FACT: No matter how much beer you consume, when you hit the ground at the borderline age of 48 while diving for a disc, you still realize that you're not 21 anymore!  ::)

On a similar note, Miranda gave Jennifer Allen the Indian name "Throws like a man"  :o  ;D

I can verify that Jennifer DOES throw quite far!

Here's an FYI update as far as staying at the Host Hotel goes......

I just reserved a room there for a "Last minute deal" rate of $61.00 a night.  That's even discounted from what Jack posted originally.  If ya' don't have a place, or just want your own room, that's actually a pretty darn giggity deal!  8)
