Not that it ultimately matters, but, just noticing that the time stamp in upper left is set to Mountain Time, not Central Standard Time.  Just thought I'd let those that maintain this know....giggity....

General Banter / Twisted Flyer ill
« on: August 17, 2011, 09:02:38 AM »
Just thought I'd give a heads up to those that don't know, I heard from a buddy of mine this morning, Heath Whitley, that Joe Rotan is seriously ill right now.  He got back from World's and found out yesterday that he's got a very bad case of INNER Poison Oak.  Somehow, it got into his inner ear, and spread to his lymph nodes, and is also making his brain swell.  Thoughts and prayers going out to him today.

Another fine evening of disc'n on Tuesday with 11 folks out to get a round in before the "Shawnee Tsunami" kicked in after the round, with one new membership added to the club (Michael Sizemore)!  Shanan took Pro1 with a nice 47, while Bret and Steve tied in Pro2 with 53's.  I think I'm getting old or something.......Steve took it with a CTP playoff?  (I'm sure I'll get corrected if  Anyway, below are the results......

Shanan Carson               47  1st  $16
Michael Sizemore            49  2nd  $9
Dan Zink                       54
Andy Lewis                    58
Deano                          58

Steve Thimmesch           53  1st  $11
Bret Boyer                    53  2nd  $7
Brad Lenheim                 55
James McLaughlin           56
Danny Rodriguez            58
Steve Carnagie              60

No Ace was hit, so the Ace Fund grows to $179

Brad and Michael, I'll get to DGW later this week to get A.) Michael's membership paperwork turned in, and B.) Brad, find out about your Ace check

That is all......I think  ;)

Shawnee Mission / Need league runner for Shawnee league tomorrow!
« on: June 20, 2011, 07:29:31 AM »
I just realized over the weekend that my tickets to Motley Crue & Poison happen to be for Tuesday evening this week, and well, considering what I paid for them......I'm going!  ;D

On that note, I need someone to run league for me tomorrow.  Brad Lenheim sent me his number to contact him if needed, but, when I got my "new" working phone, the good ole' T-Mobile sim didn't move the contacts over to the "new" working phone.....grrr.  Therefore, I don't have his number anymore.  If someone could either run this for me, or get me Brad's contact info, it would be moocho appreciated!

Yep, I got the back loosened (somewhat, and the score reflects it....that's my excuse  Six folks out for a fine evening of disc at good ole' Shawnee Park last night, and lots of casuals playing as well.  Everyone played Pro2, and one of us, Shanan Carson, shot lights out with a 46.  He also claimed THE shot of the day with a near Ace on hole 7.  Beautiful shot that everyone thought was going in.  It went into the chains, teetered on the edge of the basket, and fell out!  I think just two more inches deeper, and Shawnee would have given up the Ace money on that one.  Nice shot Shanan!  Anyway, below are the results.....

Shanan Carson                46  1st  $11
Michael Sizemore             51  2nd  $7
Dan Leweke                    56
Steve Thimmesch            58
Brad Lenheim                  59
James McLaughlin            60

Due to Shanan just missing the Ace, the Ace Fund grows to $284.

The CTP was won by yours truly, Tallguy, with a putter shot going thru the "V" in the tree, and ricocheting towards the basket parking it  ;D

That is all....giggity

Shawnee Mission / Need a hand to run Shawnee league tonight
« on: June 14, 2011, 01:48:51 PM »
Hey all, I've been trying to get it worked out to where my back isn't messing with me to run league this evening, and it doesn't look like it's cooperating very well.  It's just too stiff to do it right now, and I'm needing someone to run it for me this evening, if at all possible.  If it comes down to it, I can get it started, but, doesn't look like I can play this evening.  All help appreciated, and sorry for the short notice.

Four folks out for some disc'n at Shawnee Park.  Me thinks the numbers are down just a bit due to the Wide Open prep/practice, for the tourney this coming weekend, which is totally understandable.  Mike Murphy took the honors tonight, shooting a even round 54.  I also reminded myself that I need to get out there and get some ranges, for the new pin placements, and get the tee signs updated.  Anywho......below are the results.

Mike Murphy               54   1st   $15
Dan Quinn                  59   2nd  $5
James McLaughlin        60
Brad Lenheim              62

Brad got the CTP and won himself a lovely prize, and no Ace was hit, bringing the Ace Fund to $278.

Well apparently, folks weren't just missing Jack's meeting Tuesday evening, because they weren't at Shawnee League either.  I'm just gonna blame it on the holiday  Three people, including myself, out for a nice evening of disc golf, and Shanan Carson won with a 54.  Below are the results...

Pro1 Division

Shanan Carson              54  1st  $15
Steve Thimmesch          55
James McLaughlin          56

No Ace was hit, bringing the total to $274.  The CTP was hit by yours truly, me.  8)

That is all.....giggity....

Twas' a cloudy, yet enjoyable, evening for some disc'n at Shawnee Park.  8 people out for it, and two divisions played.  I think the new pin placements threw some folks off this evening, because Arturo's 53 led the Open (Pro1) card, and made it appear to others that he was human after  Tom Butler took the Pro2 division with a smokin' round of 49! Below are the full results......

Pro1 Division

Arturo Villareal              53   1st  $15
Tracy Walker                56
Steve Thimmesch          58

Pro2 Division

Tom Butler                   49   1st  $10
James McLaughlin          54   2nd  $5
Deano                         56
Brad Lenheim                57
Jeff Mook                     65

CTP was won by Tom Butler, and no Ace was hit, bringing the Ace Fund to $271

That is all......Giggity... 8)

13 people out for a "breezy" round of disc at Shawnee Park.  Arturo, once again, proved he is Arturo winning the Pro1 division with a 48.  Matt Hays took Pro2 with a 54, and Deano took Masters with a 53.  Below are the list of results......

Arturo Villarreal            48    1st Place  $19
Bobby Villarreal            51    2nd Place  $11
Shanan Carson            52
Tracy Walker               55
Scott Reek                  57
Steve Thimmesch         57

Matt Hays                  54   1st Place  $8
Mark Albers                55   2nd Place  $4
Brad Lenheim              56
Josh Harvey               59

Deano                       53   1st Place  $9
James McLaughlin        55
Tom Butler                 60

No Ace was hit, so therefore, the Ace Fund is now at $251

Someone hit the CTP prize, but, I was side-tracked, and, like totally, don't remember who that was.  I'm sure someone will refresh my memory.  ;D
