i would agree.  A friend an I got a chance to play that course for the first time during Worlds.  We played with a couple of pros and the guy who runs the course(Riley?).  We were pleasantly surprised on this nice little course.  You should be able to buzz through it fairly quickly, but don't think it can't be challenging.

Legacy Park - Lee's Summit / Re: Course Update - 7/22/09

I played this afternoon and it was a better experience than I have had in the past.

The grass was mowed earlier in the week and that helped quite a bit.  There were some wider fairways that really helped and they cleared out some brush from some of the tree groupings that were next to the baskets(notably on 2 and 7).

They could easily mow some of the fairways wider and would make this a MUCH better course, but I understand this takes time.

Palmer, keep up the good work.  It sounds like the parks department is open to ideas - we appreciate it

General Banter / Re: Here to Branson

is in Branson and if you have a GPS, use it as you have to wind through some neighborhoods to find it.  It is in town, but not busy when I played it a couple of months ago.  Very simple, flat course with a few trees in play.  There is a walking track that goes through the middle of it, but that shouldn't be an issue.

If you find a Valkyrie in the trees, up the hill on the right of 5, a 6 pack beverage of your choice is in your future :)

I thought this would be a good place to camp as well - the course is right next to the sites.  The last few times I have been out to PH, there is a big 5th wheel parked up front - possibly the camp host?    Well, nobody has been home when I knocked to check it out so far.  I have never seen more than a couple of campers at one time out there.  Looks like electric hookups at a few of the sites.  Once it gets cooler, I may spend a couple of nights out there

ha, ha - that is exactly the same as my first experience at disc golf 5 months ago at the same course.  And, yes, it does get better.  Welcome to the addiction.

My friends Brian and Rick intro'd me to the sport about 2 months ago and I was hooked.  Went down to DGW and Rick R set me up with my first 3 discs and took the time to educate me on my many newbie questions.

I played 7 or 8 total rounds so far and getting better all the time.

A big thanks to Dan, Brandon and Lance who let me play a few holes with them yesterday at Pleasant Hill - I stayed a little later and practiced some recommendations and found it *immediately* helped my game.

Is it wrong that I already want a basket in my backyard?
