I will not be there. -heh- I would vote for Swope fwiw, though. I did play Swope with a lid back in '83...and NEVER played DG on a DGC again until '97. At the time, the idea AND ACT of throwing a lid into a Mach I was ludicrous. Best of times to you all!
Seeding is best accomplished in Sept (mostly due to cooler nighttime temps)...though w/o adequate AND regular moisture, it becomes a crapshoot. Finding a way to have the seed covered, or better yet tilled/verticut/aerated in, will help ensure that it is not just birdfood.
One can also overseed in Feb/Mar in hopes that when the soil warms up enough - it will germinate and take hold before our typical mid/late-Spring heat will challenge it.
Zoysia will grow well only in full sun. It is very invasive and will spread; but once again, only in full sun. Zoysia is one of the first turf types to turn brown/go dormant in the Fall as well as one of the last to green-up in the Spring.
These types of calls essentially require a blatant error in timing made by the putter to be seen in real time.
I see way more 'falling putts' inside 10m than I see stance violations on a jump putts outside 10m. Plenty of folks (mostly Ams) out there fail to establish balance before proceeding forward. They just putt and keep on walking toward the basket w/o stopping.
