Agreed.  But what is the fee?

How about $2-4...?  (My '98 DX Roc would be worth $10 easy...to me)

Hell, there's a certain amount of sadistic pleasure in throwing someone's disc BACK...and, well, these squids are already into perversive acts.  :-X

god bless the 'squids' or anyone else with the bravado to recover discs, legally or not. these heroes of our game greatly increase a players opportunity to get back that which was lost or forgotten.

...and squids DESERVE a retrieval fee.  AND, IFF the owner does not wish to pay this, I think the squid should just simply throw their disc back into said body of water.

Well said, Hyzer.

Frankly, if I leave a disc behind for whatever reason, whether or not I'm allowed/not-allowed to retrieve it...I don't expect to ever see it again.  C'est la vie.

Can only think of one disc in my bag that I might shed a tear = a '98 Roc that I have absolutely no replacement for...none in my bag or archives are even close to being as understable.

This whole debacle revolves around trespassing...into a body of water w/o the P&R's permission.

This Sunday, February 23rd, is Free State Brewery's 25th Anniversary.  So again, I'm reposting this old thread in case anyone out there shares this same birthday.  Please see my first post above from 2 years ago to learn what this is all about.

They don't have ice in Oklahoma???  LOL

Most hedonistic hophead DG'ers are not above instant gratification...and will be shocked they can't just go buy what they want - when they want it.  Waiting for beer to chill down?  Puh~lease!   :P

Not sure IFF Oklahoma's Sunday beer sales rules have changed since I was last down there...but I seem to recall they could only sell warm (full strength) beer on Sunday's.   >:(
So, plan ahead.

Cabin fever!

If one is properly insured (w/ proof) and pulled over for 32+ day expired tags...is there a citation AND a tow?  Or, just a citation?
IFF the latter, then a 'moving violation' receives a lighter penalty than a non-moving/parked violation.  An ironic discrepancy if so.

Very cool vid!

Reminds me of a tourney (OZ Tour event) I played out in Colby, KS where a temp course (at Colby Community College) was set up adjacent to and including some of their permanent course, Villa High DGC.  It had urban elements other than playing near busy streets.  I believe this was either over Thanksgiving or Christmas break so there were no students/faculty or cars present.  Very enjoyable golf with a very different feel.  The course was not near as tight as the one in the vid though.
Something to consider/think about as a safer area to play...especially when no one is around.
