Although you don't have to be a club member to play, it is encouraged for the experience and added perks of voting for officials and letting your opinion known.  This event is for charity and to have fun... Mulligans are able to be purchased and all procedes go to charity... Just ask Lowe about mulligans. :-)

General Banter / New Kids

Just wanted to say thanks to the Beer leaguers who were out Sunday at Swope.  I brought several kids aged 7-10 years old to play their first rounds of DG ever, and the Beer leaguers were awesome to the kids.  All 4 of the kids couldn't get enough of DG and were floored at how nice everyone was (which is saying something about those guys  ).

I will be there about 5pm...sunset tonight is 7:10, so it will be dark by 7:30.  Please sign in, get a group of 3-4 together, and go play your round.

Swope League 9/17/2013

Gully Golf League last Tuesday night was an Innova team sweep for all cash.  Congrats to Tank and CD for the first and second place win.  We had 7 out for league on a beautiful tuesday night. 

Open:

Ace fund continues to climb...it is now sitting at $502.00

This Tuesday night is the last Swope summer league of the season.  I will do the same thing I did last week with the rolling starts...come sign up, get your card together, and T-off.  The final card will go out at 5:30.  With the sunset at before 7:30, we will once again play all short pads, which will continue to give some possible ace runs, in order to potentially pay out some of the Ace Fund...if no one hits at ace this week, it will start off the same for next summer. 

Hope to see you out on the course next Tuesday night.  If you are running a bit behind, please text me or call me at 816-665-1906 and I will hold a card for you.

Swope League 9/10/2013

With the day light getting shorter, the leagues are getting smaller...at least that is the case for Swope.  We only had 6 out tonight.

Open:

Again, all 6 got into the Ace Fund, so the pot climbs to $490.00.

Next week, I am going to have a rolling start.  Check in with me, get your card together and go to a hole to start.  I will be there before 5pm, and will send the last cards out at 5:30.  Since the day light is getting shorter by the day, I would like to send no more than 4 per card (3 would be better).  We will play with Mandos, but no O.B. (except roads) and from the short pads.  I hope to get some of the pins placed shorter so that the speed of play will be faster.
