Swope League 5/21/2013

Not sure where everyone was tonight, but only had one player sign up for Open tonight.  So, alas, he ended up playing Advanced.  It was a good group of guys and ladies.  Good times were had by all.  We had one player come out tonight who played his first ever round on a KC course.

The wind was slight out of the north, so not much of an issue tonight.  The temps were perfect in the lower 70's with no humidity.  Great night overall.

During Swope League tonight, my card was playing #16 when a huge branch fell on what is Swope Gold #16.  Maybe something to add to an upcoming work day?

Swope League 5/14/2013

I've heard Swope Disc Golf Course referred to as Gully Golf...well, tonight it was Gale Golf (at least it sure felt like it)...the wind was coming out of the South at a pretty good clip, which was affecting everyone's game!!  Otherwise, the temps were on the warm side,but with the wind, you really did not feel the temps!  Thanks to the 16 who came out tonight!

Well, the LD was late getting to league and was rushing around to get going after 6.  Thanks to Slim Jim for taking names and preparing cards. 

What a beautiful night for some golf.  Everyone was excited about the weather and the course conditions.  Great night.  Thanks to everyone for coming out to participate.

Yep...there was an announcement on Facebook and on the Grip website...195 bags left and no production...the lifetime warranty is still good though...which tells me he they may have something new in the works.

21 out for a beautiful night at Swope DGC.  The weather was warm with a strong breeze coming out of the south.  With all 21 getting in on the Ace Fund, it jumps up to $207.

Swope League 4/16/2013

With the temps in the mid 40's and a cold wind out of the north, we had a smaller turn out than the  last 2 weeks.  However, the night was nice as the rain stayed away...and personally, I would prefer to play in cooler temperatures.
