I did a dinner league one time to start the first night of the year. It was well received. I get off work at 3, so getting to the course was fine for me...I just had to buy the stuff ahead of time. I cooked dogs and brats on the grill next to Swope #1. I asked ahead of time for people to bring the side dishes potluck style...chips, drinks, tableware, etc...and it was great. I had thought of doing it again, just have not had the time.
Now, my situation is a little different as I get off work at 3 and don't have to be to Swope until 5ish, but that is not the case for all the LD's. Mike is right, Greg and I often have between 30-40 people show, so it would take a small volunteer crew to do it well. So, as long as you can get that going...and I know we can as the all-volunteer KCFDC, it would be fun some nights.
