I don't know if the guy that sells them at Rosie is the same guy. It's very clear that the guy selling them on craigslist finds them, cleans the name off and resells them. I personally wouldn't feel right buying from him.

Up until I read about the guy selling at Rosey, I did not have any qualms about buying from this guy on Craig's List.  But, I am rethinking it now.  I did get some sweet deals, but if it comes at the price of "stealing" from my fellow golfers, then I am done.  Thanks for that tid bit, Ash!

Question...this guy that is selling them down there at Rosey on Fri nights, is it the same guy that is selling some one Craig's List?  I have bought several discs in the past few months from Craig's List (from the same seller, who is always wanting to meet near downtown), and it is making me wonder if the discs I am buying are "stolen."  The names are always cleared off (though are still faintly visible - I cant read them well).  Any thoughts??

Point well take Anthony...and I agree.  I guess I was going on the assumption that those were what our neighbors to the north were actually planning on putting in.  I know that things are still in the planning stages and could change...just a bad assumption on my part.  I too would love to have 3 distinct courses that would challenge me each time I go, and not just enjoy the 1 or 2 harder courses and never play the easier one...though I am sure I would play it at least once.

I say the intermediate first...that way beginners have a course that is not so tough that it is going to drive them away from playing, but the course would be tough enough for the more experienced players to be challenged.  Also, you want it to be bring in players from all over the area, but if it is too easy. more advanced players will get bored with it and stop coming once the newness wears off, and head back south to more challenging courses.  As well, if it is too tough, rec and beginners wont want to drive the distance from south of the river to play.

I am always up for a challenge...so I would love a tough course, but start with the intermediate...I think it will draw your biggest crowds and thus it will put a taste in the mouth for everyone to keep coming back, especially knowing that a course more suited to thier level of play is coming soon.  I know that driving from Raytown (where I live) to Smithville is a long drive and with the economy as it is, I dont want to drive all that way just to play an easy course, but I dont want to get discouraged by having bad scores with the pro course, and not keep coming back when I could play closer courses.

This coming from a intermediate rec player.

Left with a better tag from DU but lost 3 of my discs and one of Bubba's.

To make matters worse...a couple of the ones I lost have my old cell phone number on them...alot of good that's gonna do.

Had fun but loosing plastic because of my stupidity really kinda pisses me off!

Lefty2 is what they will say and the correct phone number is 816-812-6265...wish me luck for their safe return.

I think # 3 would be good.  The first two rounds could be at one course, with the final two rounds at separate courses, thus "equalizing" the field going into the final rounds.

Or how about this with 3 courses:  two different courses the first day, and the same course the second day...moving pins and maybe even some "Safari" holes for the final round.

I was the first to sign up for the tourny, and, I was just refering to the scores being different on dry ground as opposed to snowy ground. that's all yo.

Eh, I just had to put in my $0.02!  I am looking forward to playing...will be my first time for the Ice Bowl.  I plan on having fun either way...dry or snowy.  See ya out there!

How about.....a green that has a moat in the middle of the green, three feet out from the basket, encircling it, and only about a foot and a half wide.  That way, if you miss, there's a possibility of an OB.   

Now that strikes me as a great idea.
