I pay $5 for an ace if you are playing in my group.  I pay $1 for basket, chains, wedding band, or nickel (but not flag poles).  I never expect anything from anyone (though i may jeer at someone i know.  hint, hint, Brad. ;)) In this case, I was ecstatic with $359!!!  Straight cash homey!

I am in favor of a dunk tank, though I am concerned about the uses it might see at Cliff Drive......... ???

you're only in favor if it's a dunk tank full of Bell's :o

... we could install a treadmill teepad on hole 8, one that doesn't require electricity, all we'd have to remove are the hand rests.

and maybe a windmill halfway down the fairway!

As Tom is taking a much deserved week off, I hope to see all of you at Cliff Drive league March 15th.  5:15 tee.  CTP's, Cold Aluminum Beverages, and a New Trial Pin Location in store for week 1.  Additional details on the Cliff Drive Thread. (Sorry to step on your toes/thread Tom.  Hopefully you are able to join us 3/15.)

Can you tell us what hole it's going on and a general or possibly very specific location?

hole eight by the short placement where the pin is currently located.

Not sure what ya mean by "trial placement" on #14, Drew. Could you elaborate on that a bit?

sorry, this is referring to a different thread.  Cliff Drive needs a few more pin settings put in.  Because the cost of steel sleeves has gone up (and digging a hole is rough on a fat boy), I want to be sure where they should go before investing time, sweat, and money setting them.  I personally have some ideas where I think they should go but I want additional opinions from other golfers.  Each week at league we will be playing a "trial placement" on one hole and I would like feedback from those who played it (either verbally after the round, or on the scores thread).  The hole will be announced when you receive your card and I will try to explain each location on here a few days ahead of time.

hole 14 will be our first trial pin.  it will play about 50 ft east and 40 ft north.  it will be the regular basket instead of the yellow basket i mentioned earlier.  i will remind everyone pre-round.

a couple of ctp's have been donated and there will be plenty of ice cold refreshments in CANS.

i will be taking signups between 11's basket and 2's teepad.  hope everyone can make it.

Cliff Drive / Cliff Drive Summer League Starts March 15th - ReDo

My first thread has turned into a money discussion so we're gonna try this again.  I for one am sick of snow and I'm excited for spring to get here and play some singles leagues regardless of price.  I want to know who's pumped up and ready to go.  Leave the other thread for the rain clouds.

Oh....and again....Tee off is at 5:15 sharp for the three remaining Mondays in March.  Please have your money paid up or a phone call/text message in to me by 5:10 (Drew 816-237-0813).  We'll see how the first couple of weeks go before we set tee times for April.

New this year:

Players choosing to play in the Open division will pay $7 entry fee.  Others remain $5.
(4) players must be paid up to have an official league.
Please bring any beverages to the course in either aluminum or plastic containers.  NO GLASS

I will bring a yellow Innova Discatcher basket to play each week as a test for new pin locations.  I welcome everyone's input on the new locations.  The hole will be announced when you receive your card.  I will try and post on the forum an approximate location a few days ahead of time.

As always:

KCFDC members receive $1 off their entry fee.
Optional - $1 to become eligible to receive the ace fund.  (Rollover from last year - $270)

No, I dont think we are making people move up to open, just encouraging it.  The minimum of four people is for total league turnout, not one division.  Total of 4 is required for the ace fund to be in play and for the club to collect its share.  Three is a loose minimum for a division but will probably not be enforced this year until we see how this all plays out.  Recruit am friends and this can all be avoided.  Looking for a big turnout in all divisions on the 15th to kick off the season.  Hope you are able to join us.
