I have my glow sticks...there is a strong rumor that the large burn pile by the 7th teepad will be lit and the remaining kegs moved on to the course for the night round.

CD,

The Tee pads actually have excellent grip when wet, but we can test them in the morning to make sure no one gets hurt.  On a warmer note the temp is forecast to be in the 70s and there is plenty of room in the barn to dry out/hang out between rounds.

Riddle....What do you get when you marinade 120 Brats in 1.5 gallons of Oatmeal Stout, 12 Onions, Red Pepper and lots of Garlic in a tub for 5 days?

Answer...The start of Fuzzy Pony Brats!!!!!!

See everyone on Saturday!

The Fuzzy Pony is full, thank you to everyone that signed up and to those who have tried to. Tee time for the Fuzzy Pony is set for 9:40 am April 3rd with a players meeting 30 minutes before.  There will be parking in the circle drive and behind the barn.  Just pull up to the barn and do the best you can to stay out of the yard.

When you arrive, please come hungry! We will be selling large plates of Biscuits and Gravy for $5 (yummmmmmmy). Also clean out your car, trunk, basement and anywhere else that you have unwanted discs you are willing to donate. Instead of having a disc reseller we will be reselling the donated discs. If you see one you like, please know that ALL money raised at breakfast, tips and “recycled” disc proceeds will support the Lawrence Humane Society. Itʼs OK if you donʼt have any to donate.

Check the website for details and last minute changes.  http://discthehorse.com.

Just uploaded the Fuzzy Pony Tournament Map to the Running Horse Website http://discthehorse.com.  There will be additional copies in the course mailbox attached to the tree by the 9th basket in the yard for those braving the weekend weather.  The squares are the tee pads and the flags the baskets.  Every hole has rubber tee pads so it should be fairly easy to find your way around.

For those that did not join us last year the Fuzzy Pony is played on two courses.  Running Horse proper, numbered 1 through 18, and the Fuzzy Pony numbered 19 through 27.  The first round we play holes 10 - 18 on Running Horse and 19 - 27 on the Fuzzy Pony (3 legit par 4's in this round). The second round we play holes 1 -9 on Running Horse and again play 19 - 27 on the Fuzzy Pony (7 legit par 4's in this round).

If the weather does not cooperate this weekend and you would like to play during the week please email me at dave.wismer@gmail.com and we can schedule a time.

Off to make the trophies!

Dave

If you are staying for the night round throw a sleeping bag in the car just in case.  The head brewer from 23rd Street Brewery is playing and is planing on tapping a keg of his special Hopsidean Dark Ale for the night round..  This beer is the bomb, its an 8.5% dark ale with an incredible chocolate finish.  Plan ahead and bring the bag and we will find you a place to curl up after the night round if you need it.

See you at the pony and as of 15 minutes ago there is one less golden ticket available.

Great news, we have secured two new sponsors and should be able to pay back 100% of the entry fee and still help the Humane Society with a nice contribution.

Thanks to everyone that has already signed up!

It's Finally Here....
....the 2nd Annual Fuzzy Pony Tournament, April 3, 2010 in Baldwin, KS. If you’re looking for a challenging course or just a great time, this is a day you will not want to miss. The Fuzzy Pony is played on two private courses: Running Horse Proper, 7439 foot 18 hole par 58 and the Fuzzy Pony Tournament Course, 3,542 foot 9 hole Par 29. Both will challenge you with timber and elevation changes as you work your way back and forth across the valley. There will be two rounds of 18 holes followed by awards and doubles (light permitting or bring your own).

What does your $35 entry fee get you? 100% payback, course music and great camaraderie. You want more? Add $7 dollars and get both lunch and dinner. Another $7 gets you unlimited beer from the award winning 23rd Street Brewery in Lawrence. Alright, it’s limited in that we will have 3 kegs. (We want you driving home happy, not delusional). The field is strictly limited to 45 players so...YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER. Divisions will be determined after registration closes. Be one of the Lucky 45 and don’t miss out on your chance to play in this year’s invitational. Ask anyone that played in the 1st Invitational, it is a time to remember. REGISTER EARLY TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT.

To request an invitation email Hal Kurz at halkurz@winprosolu.com

Special Thanks to our sponsors!
