Britain’s got talent…America’s got talent…and we’re absolutely convinced disc golfers do too!!
Here’s a chance to show us what you’ve got. Can you sing, dance, make us laugh, twirl a flaming baton, pull a rabbit out of a hat, or make Jack Lowe disappear?
Join us Tuesday, July 28th, 8:00 PM at the host hotel for a fun, lively evening of entertainment…where you just might learn a little bit more about that golfer you’ll see on the course the rest of the week! We will be limiting the competition to 20 acts, and have some great prizes to give away. If you don’t have an act for the talent show, but enjoy making music…bring your instruments and join us for the Jam Session portion of the show.
Look for an entry form soon. We look forward to seeing you there!

Yes, it’s a Pub Crawl, bet we’re dubbing it the “PAR-CRAWL” because not only do you visit three nearby establishments (all within walking distance) but YOU GET TO PLAY MINI-GOLF while you’re there!
We’ve designed 12 holes (six of them after dark) and decided on random-draw doubles for a truly memorable experience!
For those that require it we suggest calling Yellow Cab Company at (816) 471-5000.

Legacy Park - Lee's Summit / Fourth of July FIREWORKS @ Legacy Park

The LEGACY BLAST will happen at the south side of Legacy Park near the baseball fields on Saturday, July 4th. Too bad it won't be on Friday for league...
Vendors, simulcast music to the fireworks, etc. Parking opens at 6:00 pm and closes at 9:00 pm. I'm figuring it may be a good chance to bring your own food, and shoot a round of golf before dark!

I feel bad about not making workdays, so I tend to pick up bottles, cans, and trash while I play.
I just ordered two sets of 160 flower bulbs ($9.99 per set from www.bulbsdirect.com) to plant around tee and pathway areas around the courses in anticipation of Worlds '009. I hope that's a good price - it sure seems like it

There had been talk earlier of awarding Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals - kinda like most sports do. I still think that would be a viable option.
I long ago thought that an internally laser-engraved crystal cast would look awesome! I've seen knick-knacks like this, complete with a lighted base. Pretty nice.
Another unique option I just came across would be a Face Mug (http://wordsmith.org/words/images/mugs_game_large.jpg)... maybe not for World's, but still a neat-looking piece of art.
Does anyone remember the miniatures that Don Sears made one year for the Wide Open? I was not lucky enough to win one, so if anyone can snap a photo and post it online that would be great!
Knowing how many artists are in our midst, maybe someone would like to provide a sample or mockup of their handiwork?
And of course, disc golf baskets Sorry Dick, no mini-baskets
