What up KC. Soup here. I'm down here in Cocoa Beach, FL and I'm gonna make a pilgrimage back to KC hitting as many of the top notch courses as possible. I will be coming up I-95 to Augusta to hit the IDGC and then on through Atlanta, Chattanooga, Nashville, I-20, I-75, I-24, I-64, I-70. Looking for advice on "must see" courses and other attractions along with cheap places to crash for about 6 hours.

KCTV5 News: Big changes are expected this year for the Kansas City Parks. Today Mayor Mark Funkhouser announced his appointments to the board of parks and recreation commissioners. He said those board members will work hard to shift away from what he calls "years of elitism and cultural devisiveness brought on by past commissioners". The Mayor pointed to a survey that showed the majority of the people are unhappy with the park system. "We spend $56 million a year. We have 454 employees. And yet we can't even make 2 out of 10 people happy?" He said that it will be his goal to focus on making the parks enjoyable for what he calls "regular folk".

Two dogs attacked Adam at Rosedale in the morning today. He said that he was playing alone and two dogs came out on hole 10 basket. His story: 'These two dogs came running at me and I forgot I had a knife' He pulls his knife out of his pocket and shows us how he slashed at one dog while running away. The knife hits the dog in the mouth a few times unfazed and keeps coming at him. He falls down a few times and runs towards the skate park and eventually stands on top of the quarter pipe.

We saw one dog after he was hit with a dart laying on the hill off of 11 tee pad. Parks and Rec couldn't find him/her for several hours.

What a production the Ranger put on....

How do you obtain a disc stamper, or whatever you call it, and create art to stamp on blank discs?  Is it difficult, expensive, and worth the trouble?  I'm not acting "Koi".   I just want my own personal creative discs.   Any feedback is appreciated.  Thanks.

General Banter / Ping Pong for disc golfers Saturday before Ice Bowl

Christian Mann (Madog) is hosting a Ping Pong party with two tables in his unique art studio/gallery the Saturday before the KC Ice bowl.   Please feel free to stop by with your own paddle/beer etc. (The fire department did last year; no fire, just fanatics in a ladder truck) The address is at 19th and Wyandotte in the Crossroads district.  Hang overs are mandatory on my card for the opening round of the Ice Bowl.  -Soup.  (Don't DUI)
