I appreciate the stats of a good round of golf. Doesn't really tell the story of what really happens chiefly at Beer League...
Go Gary!

I was informed that on the front of the local section of the kc star is a pic of Bret playing in Beer league on Sunday.   no story attached, probably better that way if he hung out with them for very long.

Hmmm. This comment makes me proud of those guys. Way to go Beer League. You have status. BTW. What's the latest throw down fight at beer league that I've been missing? Nate's still in the hoosegow?

I did Burns Park in Arkansas on the way down a few months ago. Great park. Stayed with Brucey. The next day my alternator went out on "bloody 98" in Wilmer, Alabama. What a nightmare. I wish there was some way to post pics of my travels on here. I don't blog. Tomorrow I'm going spear fishing/diving about an hour out in the Atlantic.

Yes, swope 10am is easily the rudest golf anyone can experience. When the group gets to about 20+ it's not hard to down a beer per hole. I'm having problems now relearning etiquette.

What up KC. Soup here. I'm down here in Cocoa Beach, FL and I'm gonna make a pilgrimage back to KC hitting as many of the top notch courses as possible. I will be coming up I-95 to Augusta to hit the IDGC and then on through Atlanta, Chattanooga, Nashville, I-20, I-75, I-24, I-64, I-70. Looking for advice on "must see" courses and other attractions along with cheap places to crash for about 6 hours.
Post here or send to my email

Scars from thorns, ticks and chiggers...Zero $
Ride from a friend on his way to the course...Zero $
Making an Ace in Beer League...Zero $
Paying entry fees for amatuer and doing ok...Zero $
Phone # on your favorite lost disc...ummm Zero $
Reward for retrieving someone's disc in 'Vietnam'...Zero $
Someone selling you a disc with your name on it...Zero $

Well, hell. You're going to need a credit card to achieve a good score in KC but the people and the courses are worth it.

We need volunteers to be successful. It's a great place to show your level of character for disc golf and the future of KC.

« on: July 11, 2007, 12:06:23 PM » the know.

I deffinately want to be a part of Kansas City Disc Golf.
With that, I believe that we need more marketing ideas: Mark Morales was a HUGE step in the direction of having the appointed commissioned reps from the mayors office at the Sun Burn Open. Great Presentation.

The idea now is to have conceptual trophies from our elite designing team of disc golfers. Christian Mann, CEO of Mellinic Glass in the Cross Roads District has the ability to facilitate ideas.

Ideas are the course. Not Banter....Jack

Avon (Beaver Creek Resort), Frisco (Copper) and the other Frisco Peninsula Rec Area were my favorites.

Between rounds at the KC Wide Open we were listening to a band that he introduced to as STS9.

Beaver Creek has a course @ 10,500 feet. The day lift ticket cost $17 a few years ago. Leadville is the same altitude and you can drive there. Check out the course at Copper which is on the bottom of the slopes next to the shops. Also, Breckenridge is a cool summer town with cheap condos and a course near by.
