WYCO / Re: 2016 Wyco League Fridays

I haven't been lately but I've played with several people this week that say it's going strong. Beckett is running it and folks show up every week. He just hasn't been posting about it.

So, to answer your question - Yes.

Perhaps best is being construed as favorite?

I've got one and really like it. I use it a lot. Someone will be getting a sweet deal here.

What they don't know won't hurt them....  If there is a break in a sewer line or a leaking septic tank(s) they wouldn't know about it unless they tested the water or became aware of it some other way. But it could just be stagnant due to not enough circulation. Either way it sounds nasty....

No thanks to this forum for eating my post that I worked on for 20 minutes.  I mean FT.  Whatev yo.

I've had the forum black hole long posts too. Quite infuriating! It's just a guess, but there may be some sort of built in time out. Anyway, if you're working on a post for a while, copy the entire work in progress and save it off to a text editor for backup that way you don't have to start from scratch.

Or, if you know it will be a lengthy post don't do it from a phone and type it up in Notepad or something then paste it in when you are done. Sorry that happened. It's frustrating as hell. I know all too well.....

You're just a little ray of Sunshine aren't you......    ;D

Nobody has ever played the 6th Annual Jared Hilton Memorial.  :P

Lol...  I see what you did there.   ;D  Can't argue with that logic...

Seriously, if you just have the one day this would probably be a pretty fun tourney. Russ usually has lunch on site too.

I played the first year. The course was pretty fun. I understand a lot of changes have been made to it for the tourney. Stan Balke is signed up for Advanced GM. I'm surprised to see him playing there rather than the MAO. I'm also surprised to see this tourney going up against the MAO. But if you've played a DG Monkey event before you know that Russ runs a pretty nice event.

USM Ace Fund League will be happening this evening - 6/21/16.

We will be celebrating the life of Patrick 'Stally" Stallbaumer. Those who knew him know that he was relatively new to disc golf but he loved it and played with us at USM and elsewhere as often as possible. He even made the trip down to Emporia for a very windy GBO a few years back. He brought up the rear in his division but had a great time doing so.

Stally passed away Sunday after a brief fight with cancer. He passed on the same day the KCFDC lost one of its most beloved and best disc golfers, Todd Henry. I know most will be headed to Swope tonight to celebrate Todd's life and contribution to disc golf in KC but for those who can't make it in there and to those who knew Stally and would like to celebrate with us please feel free to join us. We will most certainly be sharing stories about both Stally and Todd as we get in a fun round of 18 at USM this evening.

It's a sad week for disc golf in KC....  But rather than be sad, let's lift up those who we lost in celebration of what they did for us in life.

USM lost one of our own the same day Todd passed. I would love to be at Swope to celebrate our friend but I will be running USM ace fund league tonight to celebrate and honor the memory of Patrick "Stally" Stallbaumer. He started playing with us at USM just a few years ago and fell in love with the game. He passed Sunday from cancer the same day we lost Todd. Rough week for disc golf in KC and friends of both Todd and Stally. Have fun tonight at Swope.

Yes, carts came about in eighties, Todd still holds course record at Waterworks, at -16, and was cursed with lefty skills. You can show your support for ISIS by using a cart though.

It was -15 down, not to really trump it....it was still awesome, I am trying to find the exact date he did it on, so far I found this thread...

Amazed Disc Golfer: "How do you shoot a 38 at Water Works?"

Todd Henry: "You miss 2 f-ing putts, that's how."

RIP Todd  :(
