Anybody know who won Chili contest?
I tried 4 different ones, and they were all great.

Also how much money was actually raised....or is that some kind of secret?

Mike Mannering won the chili contest with a smoked pork chili
Rhonda Crosby was second and Chris Lee took third.

I'll start! Speed 9 (or so) understable drivers: awesome, or really awesome? What's your favorite? Can you pick just one?
I can't. I could throw a bag full of nothing but Sidewinders, Roadrunners, Hatchets, and Valkyries all day long. . .

I like the Valkyrie best among that list. But it depends a lot on the plastic and weight too. I currently have been throwing a 158 Star but mix it up with a 150 Champion for downhill shots without too much wind. If it a little breezy I break out the max weight SE from back in the day.

Happy (belated) birthday to Steven (doc) Norby!!  Another trip around our nearest star was completed by this fine fellow just yesterday.  8)

Cheers doc!!!  :)

whats the best BBQ spots around?

That's a loaded question if ever I heard one. You will get many different responses to that in KC. But I suspect many will answer Joe's KC, Gates and Sons, Arthur Bryant's, or......   There are lots of choices almost all quite good. If you like BBQ you have come to the right place! Wyandotte, Rosedale, LC's, All Slabbed Up (Leavenworth) on and on and on.....

    • If so will there be a place on the forum for it?
    • Is there a map available yet? Even a rough one?

I have added the board under SMP.

I included a link to the map under the new board.

Water Works / Re: WW GLOW?

Never played doubles of any kind but read the different formats on the PDGA site. Does WW do best shot, alternate shot, worst shot, etc.?

Best shot. Typically any doubles event will default to best shot unless it is specifically mentioned in the event description. Usually you can assume when it's doubles it will be best shot.

Found and Lost / Re: Metal Mini at Cliff Drive

I don't know exactly who found it yet but it has been found.  8)

This is the second time I lost this mini in 12 years time and both times someone who knew I lost it took their time to go find it for me. How lucky am I? Pretty lucky I think.  8) 8)

Found and Lost / Metal Mini at Cliff Drive
    « on: October 15, 2015, 09:08:56 am »
I seemed to have either left my metal mini behind or had it fall out of my bag somewhere while playing Cliff Drive yesterday. I had it for sure on #12 and noticed it gone before putting on #17. It was getting too dark when we noticed it missing to look much for it. It's a heavy aluminum mini, plain silver with the MaceMan jester logo engraved on it. It's pretty much one of a kind so if you see anything like it anywhere it's likely mine. With the tourney this Saturday  I'm hoping some honest soul will find it and make sure it gets back to me. I've had it in my bag 12 years so I miss it already. Thanks.

Dunno. Maybe because I have heard the whole grow the sport for so long and yet, I think it is plenty big and popular (around here anyway)

How about innovate the sport? How about make the sport legitimate in the eyes of the public? How about behave like an athlete when you play the sport? How about leave no trash on the course? How about educate people on the sport? How about bring a woman to play disc golf? Improve the sport! How about grow you local club and get the voice of the clubs heard? Not the PDGA and not manufacturers.

The image of disc golf still needs to be  improved. I am always amazed that people say grow it. It doesn't mean more is better at all. As a matter of fact, why grow the sport? So more people can make money off the sport? Are you ready to go pay-to-play?  I know some people are but not me.

^^^^^ This guy right here! ^^^^^
