How long is #17?  That thing is a beast.

To answer your question:

17   B   618
   A   747

I suspect the C placement I have in mind will be closer to 520 or so. Fairly short by WyCo standards....   ;D

I'll have first and second round distances posted soon.

It's close to the tourney layout. Bryan moved things on Saturday (thanks Bryan) and came pretty close to what I had planned. There are only two baskets that aren't set for the first round. #14 will be across the pond both rounds and I hope to have a new pin in for #17 using the space opened up last year in a shorter placement for the second round while using the original long placement the first. So that will be six or seven pins moved between rounds the day of the tourney. I'll have exact layouts and distances available to handout the day of the tourney as well as online beforehand.

Thanks for giving folks a new look at the course Bryan. I'll be changing a few of these before the Kan-U-WyCo. Probably on Thursday of this week, Saturday at the latest.

Following is what Bryan posted with my planned layout for the tourney noted next to each hole.

1. Left (first round, short for the second)
2. Short (for the first round, long for the second)
3. Left (no change)
4. Left (I assume this means where it was in the woods, that's for the first round, original right for the second)
5. Long (for the first round, short for the second)
6. Short (no change)
7. Short (for the first round, original middle for the second)
8. Short (no change)
9. Right (no change)
10. Short (long for the second round)
11. Same as always
12. Left (no change)
13. Short (no change)
14. Short (will be moving, across the pond for both rounds!)
15. Same as always
16. Left (no change)
17. Short (planning an even shorter location if I can get it in in time. If I do it will be long first and short second. If not, no change)
18. Left (no change)

That sounds mighty unpleasant. I am always willing to work with someone that can't play due to injury.

Alright, a true cross-state rivalry. Way to go Jack. Maybe that will help bring some of them here for our events.

Still carrying #20.

It's generally situational. If I fill the event and you have paid and can't play and I have a waiting list it's no problem. Otherwise it would depend on the reason you couldn't make it. I'd be reluctant to give you a refund if you paid then got scared off by the weather.

#20 - Probably won't be in play until the first week of league though.

..... so I'm not sure I would feel right taking all that money from an intermediate player.

Yeah, right.....    ::)

DUI just sounds so edgy and dangerous........   kinda like the course. That's why we call it that, catchy ain't it.....  8)

If you see an advertisement for it or hear about it or simply are aware there is an event called the DUI - You are invited!   ;D

If you are oblivious to it, for instance someone living in Alice Springs in the Australian Outback who remains completely unaware of the course or even Rosedale Park, then you are not invited. But that is an obvious and moot point I suppose.  ::)

The DUI is a singles tourney. Not many doubles tourneys in KC. Be neat to have a PDGA sanctioned XC tier at Blue Valley though.

When you're a KCFDC member and you pay your $5, you have paid for the ace fund, correct?

Correct

Speaking of which...Kan-U-Wyco will most likely fill up also....

Pre-registration strongly recommended. We had 81 at Wyco last year in a cold rain. If the weahter is half way decent it will likely fill. It will go smoother if most people are pre-registered. Online pre-registration is now available. Check the Kan-U-WyCo thread.

I have set a maximum of 90 for the Kan-U-WyCo which would put fivesomes on every hole. It will still make for a long day but daylight savings time starts that day. With patience and nice weather I expect it will turn out to be a nice tourney this year.

Have fun in St. Louis. Hope you all get to play if you are making the trip. I had considered it but I'm not going to make the drive if I'm not garanteed a spot at this point. I'll just go do some work out at Wyco instead  ;D

Speaking of Aces. It's not listed on the flier but there will be an ace fund that day. It will be the KDGA roling ace fund that will be getting started the day before at the Colwich tourney. I suspect it will be a $2 ace fund payable upon check-in on the 11th.
