Sick at home with the flu so this was mildly entertaining. I enjoyed my FTL rounds and think it is a brilliant idea. Thanks Harold and Jeff O for doing the legwork!

Thanks Jay Rivard, Dave Zentz, and Pete Cashen for the great work taking care for the erosion problem. When was the last time you saw the end of that teepad? These guys put in a 3-4ft retaining wall and some really amazing new stairs, also saw a bunch of work taking place on hole one this evening but 14 is done and its sweet!

Lakeside Hills / Can't wait to see it

Keep me posted on the workdays, I'll be there when I can.  I'd like to go have a look Sunday morning, help me out here with the location.  South of the Lake (A) seems residential, East of the Lake (B) looks like the old golf course, is that where it's located?  Is it best accessed from Dennis Ave or 135th St?

DGCR is having their annual disc dyeing contest, some pretty amazing discs entered this year.  Gotta be a member to vote but anyone can look.

Jeff Ash did this little tribute to last years winner.

The bracket is here.  I got Loomis and Cooper meeting in the IBEX semi finals, with the winner playing Hemmi (who knocks out McBeth in the 2nd round).   Dave wins by one and goes on to take the whole thing!

Found and Lost / White sidewinder, hole 18 Rosy top
« on: June 09, 2012, 05:40:55 PM »
About 75ft short of the pin, 2 ft into the trees on the right.  Threw my upshot and left my driver, name and # on the bottom. It was around 11 this AM.  Somebody please pick it up and put it in the can.

Bob Dobbs ZNuke, reward for it's return.  Somewhere right of the fairway.  I'm thinking in the big Pine with the ivy, maybe last night's big rain washed it out.  Name and # inside the rim.

Not very many, got there later than I wanted so I couldn't stay long.  I'm disappointed, WYCO is a beautiful course with all the old trees.  A great place to take DG pics.

Found and Lost / Found a green disc on #18 at Wyco
« on: March 15, 2012, 07:54:57 PM »
Around 11:30am, no name or #.  Tell me what disc and I'll return it.  If you didn't lose a green disc at Wyco yesterday or early this morning (it was in the middle of the fairway) please, no guessing.

Found and Lost / Still waitin'

On my orange Pro-D Challenger (1st Ace disc) and a funky dyed blue Z Buzzz to show up at DGW.  You called me and said you would.  Waiting patiently, but still waiting.

ps. I'll be at the Ice Bowl Sat afternoon and all day Sunday if that makes it easier, you will be rewarded!

General Banter / An interesting practice round.
« on: October 25, 2011, 07:28:47 PM »
I'm on a little bit of property SW of KC with a nice field west of the house.  It has a few trees and gets mowed in July for the Brome, great for practice play with any disc.
Went out a little while ago with the dog and a couple of buzzz's, beautiful evening, trees are all gold and orange, lit up by a great sunset.  Poe is a german short hair mutt with no training but tons of instinct and enthusiasm.  Wasn't long before he pops a covey of quail and I get to thinking about the two Buzzz's in my hand.  So I bring him in, keep him close as we head to the other side of the field and then let him loose, wasn't 5 minutes before he pops another one 200ft in front of me.  I let fly with the Buzzz, missed by a mile but laughed my ass off at the idea of hunting with a disc.

What's best in life?  A man with his discs, the open prairie, and his dog!

Disclaimer:  This is not inhumane, I really think if I woulda hit one it would have went down long enough for the dog to get it.  He's pretty good at this sort of thing, I think he knows that when I have quail for dinner he's gonna get some.
