Baldwin City Lake / Re: New baldwin disc golf course

I played out there yesterday and enjoyed it. I thought 12's basket had been hit by a mower, it has significant damage and will need replaced. None of the baskets had caps so a person with a crescent wrench could easily remove the chain hangar and basket leaving only the pole in the ground. I alerted Mike Carson and Dennis V., Dennis said he was in touch with P&R and they'll be out to put spot welds on the bolts.

This course map has the new hole numbering and is pretty much accurate except for hole 8 being shortened to about 275.

It was fun watching Mark and Matt start the round with 11 birdies (right?), and finishing 15 down. Suzette and I played 5 or 6 holes of competitive golf and then enjoyed watching the great round of golf being played and the beautiful evening for golf at the gully.

It was obviously misinterpreted and Peter nailed it on the head.

The rule was that the maximum round score was 72, which was to eliminate extreme outliers. That does break down to 4 shots per hole,

Is this some kind of OP math that Paola folks don't get? 21 holes times 4 per should be 84 strokes.

The results are always posted, go to WW on thursday around 5:15, play a round of golf, and then check with Utz. You can write 'em down yourself. No Facebook/Google/I-phone/pad required.  :D

I know some statisticians will have fun with this data, the amateur cursory glance says drop those outlying 72's and Team Buzz wins handily!

Too bad about the turn-out Eric, it was a beautiful fall-like Saturday, hopefully folks got out and enjoyed it.  I was glad to spend it at Swope with a great bunch of golfers. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time and effort!

Glad you think so Eric. Give the idea some consideration for next years tournament, too late to try to include it this year. I don't want to be responsible for all the crying when team ROC/BUZZZ... failed to win because the TD changed the format days prior to the event.

I'm out throwing in the field tonight, got a bag-o-buzzzs plus the MVP Axis that I have fun tossing around and wouldn't ya know, it's the Axis that was consistently hitting the lines I wanted. And then I had an small epiphany, Eric you have only included the WalMart and Target of the disc golf industry to participate, and this aggression towards the smaller start-ups just will not stand.

I'm championing an epic tournament crash the likes of which KC has never seen before. Team Axis, Team Halo, Team Fugitive, Team Ghost... pack your bags and head down to Swope Saturday morning and let's show these tossers how a midrange disc can really be used! Team Axis is in the works, PM me for details.

Ok so I'm guilty of piling on... been a while since its been turquoise, maybe over a year. It's a nice green pond right now and I have to admit, i didn't get a single leech (I doubt there are any in there), I was just trying to drive up the returned disc price.

But you guys are guilty of being forum buzzkills :D

Just a little teasing of course Jim, trying to help ease the pain while discussing a sad subject. I doubt you'll have any luck on that DNA thing :D

Private eye Mr. James, do you know this group who saw it go down? Might be the place a smart dick would start poking around. A true brother Seamus would find a way to get a peek inside the trunk of these guy's car and find the hand saw responsible for this arborcide. Black Walnut has a very distinct odor and will stay on the saw for a couple of days at least.

edit: after seeing the pic on facebook I see it is not a black walnut, forget the distinct odor thing.

So I've been thinking about this for a bit. Generally I come in on the if you leave it, don't ever expect to see it again side and will go back after a round is over to hunt down my disc. But I am a decent person and make every attempt to return a found disc.

So this evening, while i was knee deep in that nasty, leech infested, fake turquoise looking excuse for a pond at PC to get back my floating (bubble) destroyer I realized why people feel the way the OP's antagonist felt. So Tom Palmer, if you want your blue boss ace disc back I'm gonna need some compensation for mental anguish (I still feel those nasty critters on my legs!). Couple of hundred oughta cover it unless we let the lawyers get involved, then you know it's gonna be in the thousands. It is and ace disc after all.

:D  Call me.
