« on: May 14, 2014, 11:50:15 PM »
Great night at Rosey with the fresh mow! Thanks Penny for running league with a small turn-out (suspect Wyco may have been the big draw, scores Rob?).  Lotsa casual players on the course tonight, including a bunch of old guys we ran into on hole 5's tee who acted like it was their course. We moved to 10 and had a great evening!

Mr. Smooth operation Carduff - 46
Jared K (hopes Beckett got the rest of the cash...)-48
Zeke "make me a trophy" Henry-50
Dan @*&#ing putters Howard - 54
Jason 5 smokes for 5$ - 60's somewhere.

Some Am's payed too, I think Dixon shot 51.

Play the Met Center, a great John Houck designed course, plenty of variety in shots but lacking in elevation. I enjoyed this one a lot more than RoyG and both Metro's.

The counter argument was written by a guy with NPR type aspirations (thoroughly enjoyed it!), the first by a guy who wants to join the Fox news team. He didn't do any research, never asked anyone's opinion on the DG side, and stated his personal opinions as if they were actually facts.

anybody read these?

Get a little creative with the reviews and you'll increase the number of readers, here's one of Spencer's enjoyable mini reviews.

"So everybody has had that moment when you either realize you have just locked your keys in your car or you are getting pulled over by the police, the one where your stomach drops and you say to yourself "oh sh1t".  Had that moment tonight.  Sent out 4 cards to start the night on a beautiful wind-free evening, locked the clubhouse, turned towards my group on hole 1, and instantly realized i had locked my bag with all my discs, my car keys, wallet, and all the league money inside, along with 2 sets of keys to the aforementioned clubhouse.  Luckily i HAD everything i needed outside the clubhouse: mini-cooler with 6 beers, my groups' scorecard, a pencil, and my cellphone.  The ONE man we knew had a key was called, and i owe a HUGE THANKS TO DAN CASHEN for showing up a while later and bailing me out.  In the meanwhile thank you to Jesse and Eric for letting me borrow an excalibur, wraith, cro, and aviar to play with the first 15 holes.  After starting 3 under after 8 holes with loner discs that i never throw i had an epiphany that i should simplify my bag, then after dropping 7 strokes in 5 holes i determined i wanted MY bag back and i hate the Cro :-[

No wasp injuries, dead carcasses  (human or non-human), stabbings, triple circle nines, or sour times were reported, although vehicular fornication was spotted pre-round.  Lee(ve my dog alone) Killian reported that they tried to rouse 2 casual players into playing league next week, and the next hole one of the casual players slammed an ace on hole #7.  In more relevant ace news, Jesse "Miami Vice" Dreiling SLAMMED dead center chains on hole #3 short, and cut straight through, dropping a foot behind the basket-it was sweet and I paid him a dollar.  Then Eric "the intimidator" Eastwood bounced off the top of hole #18 short, and i paid him a dollar.  Then they used my dollar to pay each other. I felt used.  Scores:

Open:
Beckett "Natty Light"  Carduff                                  49   ($14)
Leeve my %$#@ing dog alone Killian                            51    ($4)

Summer Leagues / Re: 2014 League

The first KCFDC league of the season in Olathe will be Monday, April 7th at Prairie Center. Please be signed up by 5:20 for a 5:30 tee time during the month of April.

We get to play on the 18 brand spanking new Innova Pro 28's that he City was kind enough to purchase, but too impatient to wait on us to install. Just as they aren't the best at keeping trees as part of a holes difficulty, they also aren't to good at installing baskets at the proper height.  ::) We will get them fixed eventually though.

This week Parsons, next week Bowling Green? IMHO it should be kept local, some travel less easily than others. My 2 pennies...

Tank??? No I'm pretty sure Tink won taking home 17 skins on our card that day...

The first couple of weeks will be earlier due to daylight restrictions and if it rains we put on raingear :D I'll be there and hope to see some familiar faces as well!

My wife's in Boston that weekend, I'm a maybe. But honestly, I'd rather spend all day Saturday (or Sunday...weather) in Tulsa playing the Selinske courses.
