Jordan & CD, how early is too early for you on Saturday morning?  I was thinking like 9:30 or so.  And I'm game to go hit up Bad Rock Creek.

I might have time to play one KC course this Saturday morning and I've not played either Young or Legacy.  Which one is preferred by the locals?  We'll be staying in Independence so these are the closest two to us.

We've hit 200 sign ups already and there are only five spots left in Pool C.  The MPO field has 27 players and we've also got 15 women signed up.  Come to Joplin this weekend and take home some of our money or one of the 180 Am players packs we have available!

Don't forget about the Friday Field Events at McClelland.  $1,000 added cash across all events and divisions on Friday!

90 signed up already and we've still got almost two weeks to go!

Am Players Packs this year will be a choice of Innova CFR disc, choice of DD or Prodigy disc, dri fit shirt, shammy hand-towel (the really, really good ones!), and a sharpie.

We are 15.5% full now, up to 42 pre-registered.  Sign up today at

Don't forget about the Towneplace Suites hotel deal and all the Friday events!

The 9th Annual Four States Open will be a PDGA A/B Tier event held on September 27th & 28th in Joplin at McClelland Park & Neosho at Morse Park North with our usual Friday Field Events (Doubles Tourney, Skil-Shot Challenge, & Mini-Golf) starting at noon on the 26th at McClelland Park in Joplin.  We are guaranteeing $4,000 added cash to the Pro fields, $1,000 added cash to the Friday Field Events, our usual $65+ value players pack for all Am’s along with full voucher payout, free Saturday night players party, and a Friday night check-in party.

TownePlace Suites is our host hotel this year.  We have secured a substantial discount for the rooms at $74 per night (regular price is $94) for either a Queen or Queen/Queen.  All rooms at this hotel are suites, and include a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast, saltwater swimming pool, and the hotel has been recently remodeled.  You won’t find a nicer room anywhere near this price.  The hotel is located at 4026 South Arizona Avenue, Joplin, MO, which is right off I-44 & Rangeline Rd.  You must call 417.659.8111 and mention the Four States Open to get this rate.  (You will also receive a voucher for free merch from the JDGC with a paid TownePlace Suite’s receipt or any other Joplin hotel!)

Visit for more details or register at  This year we will have three pools, A, B, & C, playing on Saturday and Sunday, four rounds total.  The schedule can be found on the flyer.  The field is maxed at 270 players with 90 in each pool.  We do expect some of these pools to fill so please pre-register early!

Entry Fees:
MPO - $100
FPO - $50
All other Pro - $50
All Adv - $45
All Intermediate - $35
All Rec & JR - $30 (Trophy Only w/bonus players pack item)

See you at the 9th Annual 4SO!

Two Joplinites signed up today!  Excited for some KC disc golf on Saturday after some SWMO disc golf on Friday.  Gonna be a good and quite exhausting weekend!

The Joplin Disc Golf Club is hosting our annual April Two-Step on GOOD FRIDAY, April 18th.  First round is 18 at Morse Park North in Neosho & the second round is 27 at McClelland Park in Joplin.

Registration starts at 8:00 AM in Neosho, Player's Meeting is at 9:30 AM.

Pro - $45
Adv - $35
Int & Rec - $30

Come get in a warm-up event before the City of Fountains!

Yes on landing in the fairway but it will be a BIG fairway.

What are the specifics on the long drive contest?

Throw far to do well, farther than anyone else to win.

Cost is $5 for 6 throws.  Buy in as many times as you want.  The long drive is being held at the Joplin Athletic Center which is on the NW side of town, not even 10 minutes from the course.  There is 1,000 feet in every direction but we will have a wide fairway lined to help measure the distance.
