General Banter / Salvation Army disc finds
« on: April 20, 2019, 02:44:24 PM »
Walking around Salvation Army in Bonner Springs today  I found 2 collector discs. A 1966 mold whamo that was a newer type from the original. Other one is a 119g. Champinship Frisbee 1975 mold. This is second top I  found collectors at that exact store. The other discs I found a few years ago both were advertisement discs. A Glad bag whamo disc and a Coca-Cola Humphrey Flyer. So the next time walking down the toy isle with significant other at Salvation Army and they ask why are you in the toy section, just say you never know what you'll find.

Another Crazy John quote at Free Stste high school at  a graduation ceremony I saw him at tonight.

The clinic was sparse but was fun. There was a 7 yr old boy that came there with his grandmother. He started out kind of okay but really listened well to instructions. This kid after going through the putting, mid and driving sessions looked like a pro. I told his grandmother to keep him involved in the sport. This is why I do these, to see someone actually take hold of what's taught.

I swore they just showed Dick Parker in the stands with his dog.  Plus they showed clip of Jeff Scheets' dog Taz catching a disc.

I'm checking with the club to see if we can use discs they have in storage.

My garage sale was successful. I would like thanking Eric Eastwood and David Steeby. Some unknown that plays for fun came by too. I sold some good stuff. I forgot I had the Crystal Buzz Wilber Young Commemorative disc. Eric bought it. Plus he got a 20 time Wide Open disc. Plus other goodies.

If you could have made it. You'd be assured to have cream of the crop choice.

I'm still in on assisting. I'll help as much as possible

I've yet to get a PM asking for my address. Maybe preserving history isn't as important as I thought it would be. If some unknown person comes to my sale and buys historically important things. Don't blame me you passed it up.

One disc I have, I will list BUT I'm giving who man first shot since it's his disc he sold me. I believe it a first run Rhyno. I'm not selling all my collectors but I have a few I'll part with at a price. Most are player discs. Like I said, if you want to see what I have, you'll have to drive to see!! You won't be disappointed. I've been in the sport for around 26 years.

There are very unique Hallmark ornaments that are worth a lot but are taking a hit to get rid of them. I'm keeping the Richard Petty SuperBird  car though.
