Rosedale / Re: ROSY DOWN UNDER WORK DAY 3-14-09 9ish 30ish!

Dick, I can call Buckle up if you want. I will try and make it too but I will be REALLY tired. Work has me on third shift this week and I get off at 6am so I may just come straight there and crash in my car till you get there.

Thanks for all the input. My only question is, since we are doing 3 man teams. How would the alternating shot work out? Just straight up same order no matter the hole. So if you get a 3 the same guy drives the next hole? Or would you alternate drives as well?

To properly answer your question. Player one tees off. Player 2 shoots from that lie. If player 2 holes out player three tees off on the next hole. Player one shoots from that lie and so on. If player three ends up holing out then, yes, player one tees off on the next hole.

Try the angle that if you build it they will come. In other words if the pads go in. More disc golf traffic. More disc golf traffic= Less crime.

If you do it 2 rounds you can split them between rounds.

1235
Is it one round?

How about using the idea of making an icon for the course and using that for the stamp.

Kevin, "We have a few KCFDC members out that way too though."

That's why I am on this site asking for involvement from anyone interested in our club.

The actual park in mind is basically midway between Topeka and Lawrence. After speaking with the park ranger, who lives in Bonner Springs, he said to go South off 92 on Ferguson Road. Go right (West) on 86th street and it curves left becoming Hamilton Road. This is a road that circles around that cove and back up to the North where there will be  a circle type drive area. In that area is where the Corps is planning on putting in the course. Yes, I said The Corps of Engineers is willing to PAY FOR AND INSTALL EVERYTHING NEEDED. They are wanting to install the light metalic blue powder coated Mach III's. The DGA is who they are getting the baskets from and were contacted by the Corp to help design the course. In order for this to get going all the Corps is looking for is a few clubs to partner up to maintain the course. He posted this on OUR site first on Friday but ran out of time to post on the Lawrence and Topeka Club's website.
Now how attractive does that sound??
I still say we should take part.
I am just one member. Any others willing to jump on board can call me.

This area may actually be in Ozawkie, Kansas. Its right by the border of that town and Perry, Kansas.

Tom,
Did you by chance contact the KCMO police about the curious human looking spine bone discovered?

That is a cow spine, Steve. The skull was also found in the area. I'd think a human with a spine that thick would have to be 12' tall or more...

OK maybe it was a Bigfoot spine.  :D

WOW!!!
We need to take this invitation and get out there to see what we can do with what we have to work with and   RUN   WITH   IT.

If anyone wants to assist me in this contact and possible installment please let me know.

I can call him and talk to him on how to get out there because its been awhile since I went there but vaguely remember. It actually has some good fishing. Especially the white bass. But like I said its been awhile so not sure about how good the fish bite out there now. I used to fish every Sunday anywhere in Kansas till I started playing disc golf.

I'd say I am at least a half hour to 45 minutes from there where I live. About the same drive time to Rosedale for me.

For some reason I am thinking there either used to be or still is a 9 hole course out there somewhere. I  could be thinking of a different lake too. You know these brain cells are not what they used to be darn it.

How about a vibrator for the concrete too to alleviate air pockets. My brother-in-law works for APAC building bridges and can get one. We did his driveway with the 9" spacing pus fiber reinforced. I can see if he can hook us up with some hangers for the rebar plus the vibrator. If you do the 9" spacing you will need to tie them together with pliable wire. Plus tie them to the hangers. Then nothing will "move around" during the poor. If done the way we did it, it's ALOT of work but we will have teepads lasting 20 years or more.

I hope anyone who reads this thread will not think of "themselves" by attending a league to possibly RECEIVE something but instead attend this benefit to GIVE to a fellow disc golfer in dire need and support!!!!!!

Keizer, I knew all that. I was just wondering what he ends up finding wrong with it. I have a feeling its the cellanoid in the starter. On your vehicle it may be a seperate component. the cellanoid could be shorting out. Did they say it looked OK too.
