Kevin, I expect Jack to be one of those in line to slap you too.

I am sure the line will probably have more than those in it too.

BTW, I used to throw the discus in junior high and high school and was one of the top throwers in the city when I was a senior. Pure technique. So when intro'd to throwing this kind of disc I thought using my discus spin would be awesome but its a reverse spin from my natural technique so I never mastered that. But I have a strong desire to use that technique.

Lefty2 and I competed against each other in the discus in junior high and high school.

I meant to mention Rick Orndorff as the other person with Kevin who showed me the sport but I just now remembered his last name.

Believe it or not but I got dave to come out a long time ago but he did more watching than throwing. I made a really long putt on hole 3 up top at Rosie as he was there. I thought him seeing my excitement might spark a desire for him to play. But like you said Kevin, he spends his free time sitting in on jam sessions with blues musicians when he's not at Truman Lake on the weekends.

I took my nephew, Danny Glover, out to Rosie a long time ago too and he had one excellent drive on hole 18 that was very surprising for his first time playing.

Over this last Christmas weekend I found out my other nephew's buddy started playing in Manhattan so I gave him  a JLS and a Roc to take to him. He called me the other day saying he was extremely happy with my discs.

Danny is Vince's son and Kevin Buck is Linda's son.

General Banter / Who intro'd you to the sport and how long been playing?

Had some time on my hands and thought I would start this thread. Klunel asked me during Down Under league this question and I thought this would be entertaining. I'll start first.

Everyone can thank Kevin Montgomery for introducing me to the sport. Dick will be the first to slap him, I mean shake his hand!!
I am pretty positive I started in 1990.

Otto's wife ,Deb, had some of THE funniest comments during the round. And then Otto's story after the round was so great I think I pissed myself from laughing so hard.

Dick had the roster numbered to 40 in expectation of a larger turnout. I was a little disapointed at the turnout but we still had a great day of golf.

I predict a high turnout. Next weekend is supposed to get cold again.

Maybe the previous statements made in this thread is the reason I have never married. Plenty of opportunity was there to screw up my freedom.

Dick I actually like your idea of using icons for our courses!!!

Maybe use the icons in front of the course name on the site?

Oh and to Dick. I never said you are ignorant. Reread the post.
I think I should change my words to more of what CD said. Negative!!

Sooo Jack!!
In one entry you said you would cover the bet but when I named the price you never answered. I am betting a Ulysses. deal or not? I will look before the game starts for your reply. If I do not see a definate answer I will assume you will not take the bet.

I notice you do a pretty good job of sounding ignorant with no help from me.

I did it only because I knew how much you would like me being the one to teach the difference between loose and lose; thier, there and they're or whatever grammer explanation you may need.

Found and Lost / Flying Eye Marker Found

Did that get anyones attention. I was digging around in a sack I found of some old markers of mine and found a like new, never thrown flying eye mini. I marked my name on the back when I bought it, like a dumbass, beings I was unaware of its future value. I showed it to Pete at the Ice Bowl. He knew the year and everything. He asked what else I had. I have an unthrown and unmarked Classic Rock with the Dancing Skeletons. How much you gonna offer me for that Classic Rock Pete???
I also found a few old stamp club minis.
